    Hello 8wardadrian,

Could you please tell us if you are having this problem with just this one CD or with all CD's you try to run in this drive? If the problem is just with this CD, can you try running it on a different computer (at work, at a friend's house, etc.)? The more details you can include in the description of your problem, the easier it is for us to find a solution for you.

I am looking forward to your next post.
    Thank you.
    Belgian Alien.

WinFax PRO is not compatible with VISTA. Even if you manage to start the installation, it is not compatible.

HOW OUTLOOK 2003 SAFE MODE WORKS

Safe Mode loads Outlook without many of the customization files and add-ins loaded. If Outlook works correctly in Safe mode, the problem is with one of your add-ins or customization files.

You can use one of these methods to start Outlook using a command line switch:

  • Hold Ctrl key as you click the Outlook shortcut.
  • If you use Vista, type outlook.exe /safe in the Start Search field on the Start menu and press Enter.
  • If Run.... is shown on your start menu (any version of Windows) click it and type outlook.exe /safe in the Open field and click OK.
  • Hold the Windows key and press R, then type outlook.exe /safe in the Open field and click OK

I recently updated my webroot software and since that, I have been having many problems, such as: when I open the software, a popup comes up: An error has occured, and some programs arren't even opening...

If you have the cd for this software insert it into your cd drive and there will be an uninstall option, run this. Once you uninstall this software successfully you may want to go the the webroot website and check the system requirements to see if they match up with your system. If you are able to access this as an Administrator it may be an issue with your firewall settings, which I would not recommend changing. If that does not work try the following:
Go to start
All Programs
Accessories
System Tools
System Restore
Click Next
Follow the prompts and choose a date from the list when you know your computer was working correctly, your system will reboot and should go directly into windows without the error.
Once you have done this go to the website of the manufacter for your software and check their system requirements to make sure it is compatible with your system as you may need to install further updates to run the program
This should work for you, let me know if you need further assistance
Please leave rating/feedback if you found this helpful, thanks!

I have uninstalled some of my drivers now my pc screen is blank i cant even go on to the start menu

hi when booting up from start, press F8 all the time till you get a menu , choose start in safe mode, once in safe mode at the main screen go to restore system, it should then use windows restore to put back anything you have removed if this does not work, you can try the recovery console , just put windows cd in cd drive, start system and start as if you are going to do a full install but when it comes to the part on which drive to install to, it will say there is an operating system already installed on it, press the R key to do a repair, it will seem like it is installing again, but all it will do is replace the things that are missing that is stopping your pc running, all the programs will still be there and usable...hope this helps

Spy Sweeper purchased in July, 2009 will not work with Windows 7.

Ms Mason,

With Windows 7 there comes an improved Compatibility feature which allows you to run programs apparently not functional in Windows 7. In order to do this, please install the program as usual, making sure to tell the installation program to install a desktop icon. When it is finished, right click on the icon and select properties. The next window has a tab called compatibility. Click this tab and select Run program in... and select Windows Vista or Windows XP SP3 (either should work). I would also set it to run as administrator. See graphic below.

If the program wont install at all, than explore the CD and do the same process with the "setup.exe" program on the CD.

Good Luck,

System crashes and i have to reformat after installing msn premium software on new 64 bit vista laptop

you can downgrade to 32bit. you would have to reinstall windows using a 32bit cd. i would recommend it you wont see much of a difference. all programs where originally made for 32 bit. the only difference between the two is that 64bit supports more ram. like xp pro; 32bit will recognize 3.25gb as ram even if you have 4gb installed but other than that not much difference. personally i dont like any 64bit systems nor vista... but with 32bit you will be able to run a wider range of programs with no problem

The search on my windows was lost

You will need your Windows installation CD or restore disk, then perform the following:

Go to Start > Run > type cmd > press enter.

type in sfc /scannow

This will scan windows for any missing or corrupted files. You will need the cd for Windows to replace the files as needed.
