Question about IBM ThinkPad T60 Notebook
I reinstalled my note book. IBM ThinkPad T60 Type 2008-CTO (06/07)
After reinstalled, my internal wireless does not work anymore. There is no signal. Before I installed, the internal wireless still working normal. I did go online and down loaded the all type of internal wireless driver for this type of notebook but when the system detected a new hardware and ask for the driver, all the driver I have was not right. I don't know why the system can't take these driver that support for this system. I did turn on the wireless switch ON and OFF but nothing change. I used a pci wireless card and plug in this notebook, it's working fine.
Do you have any idea why the system won't take the internal wireless driver that i download from Lenovo Support & Download. can you have me with this problem.
I also went to the BIOS set up and make sure everything relate to wireless set up were set to Enable.
Thanks very much. hope to hear back from you soon.
I actually solve my problem. I had remove the wireless card and put it again. It's not hard to remove it. Keyboard and palmrest come apart really easy, just have to remove 4 or 5 screws in the bottom case.
Apparently it was not detecting it. I mean it was but not fully. try this one.

To answer the first problem. I see the file offered from IBM for the wireless driver is an .exe file. The file must be run and the application installed. If windows detects the hardware and you point to that file it will not recognise it as a driver.
The second problem is quite a bit different. There at least the hardware is installed otherwise you would not be able to detect wireless connections.

To wipe and reload you don't actually have to log in. You just need to set first boot option to CD, insert the XP disk, and reboot the computer. All the steps from there on out are explained on the screen.
I hope this helps :)
