Question about Dell W3000 30 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I purchased a Dell 37" a couple years ago and recently my television has shut off. I took the television to be repaired and the panel needs to be replaced. I am looking for a Dell store that repairs all Dells. Can you help me with this situation? Please advise at your earliest. My direct number is 925-978-9693
I am pretty familiar with most if not all of the dell lcd/ plasma tv's. your problem. Hum, i would not be so quick as to simply agree with what the first diagnostics was and assume the panel is bad. You did say the unit shut off right? If it shut off, that means there is no LED light at all when u press the power button. If that's the case, it sounds more like the power board to me. If u get a blue light but no video, its yur mainboard. But u may still have a good panel Lets hope.

The complete failure of the LCD display panel is quite rare; far more likely the backlight or the power supply for the backlight has failed and neither of these will cost as much as the entire panel which may not even be bad. If you take it to an independent repair shop, insist on getting any replaced parts returned to you.
