Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
I press the 'open door' button, the door usually sticks. If I press down on the top of the door, or push up on the bottom of the door, I eventually get the door open. I have no problem closing the door.
Thanks for any help - Jerry
Most microwave ovens have catches that are shaped like hooks, these hooks catch on a fixed bolt or a raise in the frame of the oven.
The next time you get the oven open check these hooks to see if the springs are working in a strong positive manner, or if you have to push a button on the model check to see that the button releases the hooks.
Hope this helps.
