Model nbxr453evoww takes too long to get hot

Hotpoint model has to run at least 45 minutes before it gets hot. Once it gets hot it dries fine. I have checked the lint exhaust and it is clear Any ideas?

Sounds like your heating element is on its way out. If you understand one it is just wires that coil around a shroud, over time it only has to get weak or break in one spot.I suggest replacing it.

Dryer gets warm (not properly hot), and takes repeated cycles to dry clothing.

If you have heat but ineffective drying, it will always be an issue with the venting system. The hose could be smashed, there could be a clog anywhere along the run of hose or even at the exit outside. A very long run of hose (more than 12 feet) will often cause problems.
If you were to take the hose off the back of the dryer, run a cycle with a load and have it dry in 45 minutes or less, you will know it's an exhaust issue in the venting system.

The rear drum bearings could be going out, and believe it not, on some rare occasions the motor itself could make a chirping sound.

most likely, there is a blockage in your exhaust. take it apart and check every inch from your dryer to the outdoors. i clean mine once a year, it keeps the dryer running efficiently. when lint backs up in there, the heat cannot get out and there is a sensor that will shut off the heating element when it gets to a certain temp, so your clothes will take a long time to dry

My hotpoint vtd00 dryer seems to have stopped drying

Have you cleaned the exhaust ducting? The duct that runs from inside to outside. Try that first. Sounds like your exhaust line is blocked. Also with the filter out get a flash light and look down the venting if alot of lint vaccum out. NOTE: Unplug the unit, wheather gas or electric.....and if it is a gas shut off the gas to the dryer before moving just in case something gets loose while moving. Hope this helps.
