Question about FixYa Service

Premium chatissue Is there a way to know if the chat has been disconnected from customers end coz it has happened to me that I have been asking the customer constantly for a response and the same persons chat pops up on the fixya utility. I just got lucky once to catch up with the customer. usually the chat gets taken up. I already hadissues with chat for either the customer wasn't able to see my response or the otherway round now I have reinstalled the windows and have changed the browser to Mozilla Firefox now I keep asking the cust on the chat and don't get a response and see the same persons chat popping up for the issue.

Hey again,

no, we don't get any notification of it, most of the time I also miss out on those.

not much we can do about it..You can look on the account statements page and see if the chat session is rejected by customer, then he has had another chat session.

I think they are working on improving the system, right now, we have to live with it.

How to apply for Premium Expert, I can't find any

Hi krbshg, We are not currently accepting new Premium applications, but will let you know when we are. There's a brand new way for Experts to earn money here. It's called the Marketplace, and it puts you in control. You set up service pages and ads offering to solve specific issues. How do I get credit for my credit card that I just gave you for a live chat, was placed on hold for the next Expert. Lost connection and now cannot get in with out paying again. HELP!!!!!!

What rewards are getting your experts for ansering the question? You only get money with banners?


There are many different "rewards". Answering some problems can get you anywhere from $2 to $7.

Then there are chats that can get you something like $10 to $15 I believe.

Know this though, that you must answer 30 free questions each 30 days to stay eligible to answer those Premium questions.

Paymnets are made at the end of the month but only if you have $50 accumulated. Also those paymnets are a month behind. If I have $50 in Premium answers at the end of January, I do not get it until the end of March.

I was accidently disconnected with my tech supporter. I have already paid my $20 fee

Please invite another chat assistance without accepting the last disconnected session. You can invite or seek as many assistances as you wish until your problem is fixed and until most helpful session is accepted. Good luck.

Chat issue

Hi Sorose4u, I'm sorry, but we currently do not have any system like that. It is, however, a great suggestion and something that I will propose to my bosses. I think that in the meantime, there is no need to wait as long as you have been. I was on Fixya Premium and began to chat with a person, then got disconnected and I dont know how to reconnect.


have a look into your email, most of the time when a disconnect happens you receive a email that includes instructions on how to get another chat session.

If you don't have instructions and you can't seem to get a new chat session automatically by just going to

Issues with Fixya chat?

There.. thats the problem. I was having issues with IE too. Download and install mozilla firefox 3. Before you install it remove the expert utility, then install firefox and install the expert utility again. All your chats will open in FF from then on and you should have no problems.
