Electrolux oven takes forever to preheat

We just got the brand new Electrolux EW30ES65G dual oven. I love everything about it except that it takes forever to preheat. Tonight it took over 20 minutes to get to 425.

Hi - I just had my Electrolux Icon double wall oven installed and the pre-heat problem is even worse. It took over an hour to get up to 350 and when I used the rapid pre-heat, it took about 35-40 minutes.

Did your problem get resolved? I am anxious to know, because I think this is a deal breaker. At the amount of money these things cost, this is unacceptable performance.

    Thanks,
    MP

Do all of them take this long to preheat? I don't know what the rapid pre-heat is - mine must not have it.

SOURCE: preheat issue with a new kenmore electric range

some of the newer ranges only pre-heat using one element. this gives them a better energy saving rating

SOURCE: Takes to long to Preheat

the burner element iside the oven(the rod that glow,s orange) is burned out, even though it glows and the oven is warm, the element is worn out and has to be replaced, unplug the oven, shutt off gas supply to oven, pull off back cover youll see the rod coming thru each end of the rod will have 1 wire unplug the wire off the clip,go back to the inside the oven follow the rod to the back youll see 2 screws holding the rod unscrew and pull rod thru, easy job and elements arent exspensive, but make sure to unplug oven, and shut off gas

SOURCE: my Delonghi gas oven takes nearly 45 minutes to preheat!

I would be suspicious of the thermostat. It or the sensing element may have failed.

I have a problem with my Thermador PDC302/01. Oven temperature is way too hot and burns everything. It also takes forever to preheat?

-Sounds like the temperature sensor is effect. Check if it's not within specification then replace it.
-For me if it's too old I better buy new one instead repair.

Good luck

Preheating?

Standard problem with this unit sorry to tell you! I've worked on several. The main oven would take 20-22 minutes to pre-heat, even on the "rapid pre-heat setting". I was told by Electrolux techs that it is the way the range is designed because of the "hidden element." Very sorry to tell you I found this model to just be very Unreliable. To many issues......

My electrolux dual fuel range had to have the control panel replaced within the first 6 months, now it is out again, this time not under warranty and will cost me about $800. Has anyone else had this

Hi katnbiff - This is typically something that a professional would need to diagnose. Possible causes could be a faulty EOC (electronic oven control), thermostat, or an oven sensor.

Takes forever for my oven to preheat to 400*. 25 minutes or so. Oven is brand new.

A brand new oven should work. You should not tinker with a brand new oven. A brand new oven that is malfunctioning is probably under warranty and should be repaired under that warranty.

I have Jen Air expressions built in oven. It takes forever for the oven to preheat. What could be the problem? It is about 13 years old.

Both the broil and the bake heating elements are on during preheat. I would take a look as it appears that your broil element needs to be replaced.
