Re: I press the power botton and nothing happens
It's possible that the spring clip behind the power button is broken and won't allow the power button to fully make contact. That's a fairly inexpensive fix. Or, some of the cables/wires could be loose, but I'm thinking (from your description) that it may just be the spring clip.

1. Swiched CPU power off (But Monitor on - though blank )
2. Removed motherboard battery(its like a watch battery but quite bigger)
3. Then Swiched th CPU on 4. On screen message ( the I pressed F1 on the keyboard) . now see what happen.
Remove Power Cord then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then put the cord back in and try to start it.
When you press the Power Button are you hearing the fans run, the disk drive running, the cd drive click and the light on it comes on for a second or two?
Anything shows up on the LCD Screen?
If you press the power button and absolutely nothing is happening then you most likely have a bad power supply.
If you press the power button and you start hearing beep sounds or blinking lights in a continuous pattern (ex. 1 long followed by 2 short) then you have a motherboard issue. Those beep sounds and blinking lights tells the technician what is going on with the computer.
Hi, It most likely is a faulty power supply or a motherboard issue. Remove the power cord then press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and hit the power button. This will release any static buildup that might be in the computer and sometimes that causes it not to boot. If nothing is happening it is more likely your power supply than the motherboard.
Disconnect all cables from the computer. Press and hold down the power button for about 20 seconds. Reconnect only the power cable and try to turn on the computer on pressing the power button If it turns on then good otherwise, switch the power cable of the computer with the power cable of the monitor as they are the same cable as the power cable could be bad but this rarely happens. Open the computer and see if you see any light on the motherboard, if you do then the power supply is bad. If you dont then both power supply and the motherboard could be bad.
Some PC desktop, when there is to much static in the motherboard it
gives signs like this or when PC is on for a long period of time the
processor is over heaten and needs to cool down a bit before you could
switch it on. Try leave you PC for about an hour and try reboot. hope
One reason that this is happening could be that it is on Power saving mode. This happens when the LCD monitor detecs an incorrect timing then thats the time that the LCD goes blank and the power botton starts to blink.
what you need to do is to turn the computer off. Unplug cables attach to the LCD make sure it is also off, once done press the power botton for a couple of 30secs to a minute and then release. After doing so re-connect all the cables and make sure that both ends is tight and secure once everything is ok turn the computer on same with the monitor to check if it solves the problem.
the charger might have the problem, and the light that you are seeing apart from the light next to power/battery is the hard disk led, this is showing that HDD is active, your motherboard is not damaged. you might want to check if you need to defrag the Hard disk by right clicking my computer then selecting manage, there you may analyze whether it needs to defrag. now you may check the charger if its chrging by clicking in the taskbar.
