19'' LG TV, Audio but no Picture - I'm an LG representative
Good evening. I am an LG representative at Best Buy. A consumer came to me today who had purchased an 19" LCD TV only 6 months ago and is experiencing audio but only gets a black screen (ie no picture at all).
I have promised to help him as he now has a very negative impression of LG.
Can you provide any assistance so I can call him?
Thank you very much!
Best regards, Ellen
My 42in LG LCD 1080p does the same thing. I have found if I turn off and then on the picture will return. Sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries. I have called LG support and they had me unplug it for 30 sec, replug and turn on. This is supposed to reset it. We will see. If not, I am to call back for service. It has a 2 year warranty.

You can't repair a broken screen. You must replace it. Now, the problem is that the screen is the most expensive part of Flat Panel TV and It's not really easy to get them, specially 50" screens. Maybe you can find some site selling it as parts Do a google search for Parts LG TV 50" Screen Quite probably your best solution might be selling your damagerd TV for parts on ebay or even, disember nad sell circuits boards separately.
When you buy a samsung, you buy a LED TV with a panel manufactured by the company "S - LCD" which belongs to 50/50 % sony and samsung. The S - LCD company is fully driven under samsung engineering. Today, sony seems to buy their panels from "sharp corp" and trying to seperate from samsung due to the cold war (high competition ) between them
Just go for the samsung UN32C6500 32" 1080p LED HDTV.
Theres no better picture quality you can buy for 32". Good luck....
TAKE IT BACK!!! If you can. Many problems w/Dynex.Esp. Now they are no longer in business.
You can not get parts for them.Your remote problem may be a stuck button.Try pushing each button.Sometimes the rubber sticks if the remote is new.Battery may be bad or not making good contact.Take the batt.cover off and roll the batts. Also take the batts.out and push the buttons on the remote, then replace the batts.some times that works. But if you can take it back to Best Buy.And get another TV. Stay away from off brands. Also RCA are junk, not the same compant. I have too many in the shop to count even if I count with my toes. Samsung ,also Vizeo great for the price."basicly a lower end of LG"If you can't fine a decent priced TV at Best Buy,Try Wal Mart. But on all these new TV's,you need to buy the warenty. They still have alot of bugs to work out. That is about 98% of my business.Doing the warenty repairs in central FL.
I hope this helps you out. todd
