Question about Proview PL913S 19" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
Hi, i have a proview monitor && for some reason after i have been on it for about an hour the screen blacks out. the power button is still on (the monitor) so i turned it off than back on but after two seconds it blacked out again. i made sure everything was plugged in and my computer wasn't over heating, but i still blacks out every hour. what do i do ?
I would suggest getting a new monitor you might have made it overheat or your display driver failed.

I have this issue, only in Windows XP. My Windows 7 laptop, I can connect the 900p and it works fine! I can insert the Windows 7 install disk and the monitor works fine (had it on the install screen for about 40 minutes with no issues). I use it on the dell tower with XP Pro, screen goes dark after a couple of seconds. I use my XP setup disk, same thing.

The capacitors in pro view monitors are notorious for being cheapo they distend and then eventually you get the issue you have described, later the monitor will not turn on at all, I am using a repaired one right now and have had it for about a year not I had to replace 4 of the six caps on the power board they supply the inverter with consistent smooth power if you can you can open the monitor up and take out the power board(it is upside down) and there you will see blown caps could be 2 could be 6 hard to say at this point.
hope this helps
