Bought hp deluxe webcam to see & talk to my son in Iraq. I can see him, he can't see me. I'm the only one he can't see , so I don't think it's his problem. I can see myself on a tiny screen below his video????

- the webcam works fine for me. I can both see and hear my son.
The camera light is on. When in use there is a small box where i can see myself which is below the screen where I can see my son.
The problem is that my son is unable to see me. He uses his webcam through Skype as I do. He is able to see everyone else
that he contacts just not me which led me to beleive the problem
is on my end.
one of you needs to set cam up with skype
try this and let me know
Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card. Then click on the Video Settings. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

I have version 2.0 (it came with my HP laptop) and whenever I apply an avatar it freezes and says it needs to check for a solution to the problem and inevitabley shuts down. All tech support says is to check the resolution and be in a well lit area, also don't move around really fast. But here I am with the highest resolution against a white wall with two lightbulbs shining on me 7 feet away. I've seen this all over, but CyberLink denies there's a problem apparently because they tell everyone to check the settings. I doubt I will ever buy anything from these people because they don't back up their products or offer solutions.
