Adding a Micro SD card to your cell phone is a wonderful way of fully using the multimedia capabilities of most modern day phones. Most current cell phones now have the capability of having a micro SD card. It it simple to add one and is similar to inserting your SIM card. Take of the battery backing, pull out you battery and you will view a small rectangular slot which holds your cell SIM card. If your phone has the option of having a micro SD storage card you will see a similar smaller rectangular slot or compartment for a micro SD. You can purchase micro SD cards at many stores and the price has dropped tremendously and can now holds up to 16 gigabytes of memory. With this card in place you can now use your phone to hold a large amount of songs which can be used for ring tones and use you phone as a MP3 player. If your phone has a camera you will be able to store far more pictures then any phone comes standard with. You can also, place and store important documents on your phone. With a large enough card your phone should fully cover all your multimedia needs and unlock the full potential of your phone. A micro SD card is a great way to get the most out of your cell phone.
Well if you want to save your pictues that you take to your SD memory card and if your phone automatically does not do that then you would have to manually choose save to SD card when you are taking the picture. If that option does not show up, try going to the memory settings of the phone and changing it so it saves to the phone. But if you are trying to add external pictures to the phone (ie digital camera to phone) you would have to use a micro sd card reader and a computer to do that. If thats the case you just have to connect the sd card to the micro sd card reader and plug that into the USB port of the computer and just drag and drop the pictures you want into them. then plug that sd card back into the phone and you should have the picture in the phone!
Your phone has 20MB internal memory and Micro SD card slot (up to 8GB) So if u don't have a SD card then you wont be able to add any other information like songs or games in to your phone. Check if you have a SD card and if yes make sure you save and install the game on the card and not the phone memory.
When you put them on your card they are just that on your card (may not show up on your playlist) Some phones (like my blackberry and pocket pc) you have to add them to the card then go directly to the memory card to play them from your phone. There should also be an option to add your songs from the memory card to your playlist. Try selecting the memory card (through your phone) and checking the options to see if one says ad to playlist. If not do the other way around. Go t your playlist and add songs (from the SD card) if should ask you from where and you can select the memory card. All else fails you can go to any cell phone store and they can do it (its easier to do it looking at the phone then over the pc...smile)
You have to format your micro SD memory card with your phone first before you can download files to it. With the micro SD memory card in your phone. 1)go to menu 2) go to settings & tools 3)go to memory 4)select card memory 5)***SELECT OPTIONS*** ---this will ask you if you want to format your card select YES, if there is a phone password it would be your last 4 digits of your number.
Now eject the memory card from you phone. Now when you put the memory card to your computer you should see the sub menus...my pics..my videos...my music...my sounds. Now all you have to do is just click and drag your music and photos to these folders.
Then when you add the memory card to your phone it will see all the music, photos, etc...
If your music files are in a folder you cannot add them to play list, but if you have all your songs singly you can add them to your playlist, I had the same problem tonight with this phone, we added them individually no problem, this has worked but is a lenthly prosses, so far so good, not had a play about with them other than this, still to get them back as an album not yet done, Jackie
Any problems ring virgin, they were very helpful, SGH-J600 User guide not explained very well
