Question about Connex 3300 240-Channels Base CB Radio

1 Answer

Can not hear people through static from radio.

It is a connex 4600turbo. Transmits fine. It is not engine noise because it's the same with the truck running or not. Have had it at the shop and checked. They say everything fine in radio. It's in a 2008 Kenworth T600. Can it be RF noise off of Truck. Any suggestions!

Have a Kenwood TK-2200 that transmits just fine but does not receive. When powered up the white noise/static is constant. Any fix for this?

Many times static/white noise is a sign of a bad or low battery. You might try trading the battery with a known good unit to see if the problem goes away. Also, you may want to check your antenna, trade it with a known good antenna and see if it is the issue. Beyond this your radio would need to be looked at by a repair tech.

Best regards.

With engine running on boat, radio transmitts with

This is almost always caused by a poor ground. I would suggest you run your ground wire (larger the better) back right to the negative terminal of the battery.

Hope this is helpful.

If the antenna for the other properly operating radio is used with the radio with the noise and you are getting the static then we can assume it is the radio. If you hear signals with the static, that is, it does receive communications at the same time, there may be a problem with the noise reduction circuitry, or a defective component(s) in the receiver. Without knowing your experience I would suggest taking to a radio shop.
