Need a remote for a pt5598hdix akai tv

YOU WILL STILL NEED TO PROGRAM THE NEW REMOTE FROM THE MANUAL THAT CAME WITH THE REMOTE. NORMALLY THIER ARE TWO WAYS TO PROGRAM A REMOTE EITHER MANUALLY OR TO DO IT AUTOMATICALLY. YES THE ORIGIONAL REMOTE IS ALREADY SET UP FOR YOUR MODEL OF TV BUT WITH THAT SAID TRY TO PROGRAM IT BY BOTH PARTS OF THE MANUAL. i AM USING A 55 INCH SMART TV AND HAVE DONE THIS AND ON OTHER SMART TV'S. ALSO YOU CAN GO TO THE WEBSITE OF THE REMOTE THAT YOU PURCHASE AND LOOK FOR VIDEOS ON HOW TO SET IT UP. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP LET SOMEONE HERE KNOW. GOOD LUCK.

The parts are around 35 - 45.00 depending on the supplier but most of the suppliers wont provide any support or instructions. For that I would suggest getting a samsung convergence repair kit for your model from the site Tv Repair Kits.

its very simple small cover on back of tv remove this to replace lamp as its inside new lamp is available a www.replacementlightbulbs.com just be sure to order right one check last digits on seriel number should be a J or Z that will tell you the one to order to reset lamp light push menu then enter

I stumbled across this page while the owner's manual for my remote was lost. I've now found the manual (after not having any luck finding the solution on the web)!

The AKAI KC02-D2 remote operates my AKAI PDP42Z5TA 42" Plasma HD Television. It may work with others as well, but that's the TV I use it for. If the batteries are removed (or dead) for a while, it will lose its programming. Here's how to reprogram it.

AKAI = 231, 218, 221, 222, 225, 226, 227, 228

1. Turn on the Device you want to program. The remote can be programmed by pressing the 3 Digit Brand Code number listed in the code table of this programming guide. If multiple codes are listed, you may have to enter several codes to complete the steps below. (Note: For programming the VCR, a tape must be loaded/inserted first.) If your Brand is not listed, please use the Manual Search menthod or Auto Search method (Section C & D below).

2. Press and hold the SET button for about 3 seconds until the current Device LED lights (TV, VCR, DVD, STB.), then release the SET button.

3. Press the device button you want to program (TV, VCR, DVD, STB.) then the selected Device LED will light on.

4. Enter the 3 Digit Brand Code for the desired Device. For example, enter "2" "1" "8" for AKAI TV. When entering each digit, the Device LED will flash one time. After all 3 digit numbers are entered, the Device LED will turn off. If the code is not valid, the Device LED will flash three times then turn off. Check the code list and repeat from the above step 2.

(*The manual contains a huge list of 3-digit codes for various devices. If you're looking for a specific one, just ask.)

hi, i have the same tv and i have the instruction manual, however i still need it cuz i'm still trying to figure out how on earth i'm supposed to connect my laptop / pc to it. if u need anything from the manual contact me, [email protected] ,

double check your solder connections on stks,check pico fuses they go bad check connections . see if high voltage lead is connected .

I do alot of these and have run into same thing and i had bridged a solder connection.

I used" Silerado 1st" solution. I have an Akai pt5598hdix/sms.
I had ghosting.Like 3 colors side by side.
Silerado said with TV off press "mute,1,8,2" then TV on.
I didn't see anything like a menu.He warned to write down any setting you saw before you change anything.But for me nothing came up. So as he said the next step try with TV "on" press "Mute,1,8,3" this is another set of adjustments for finer detail. I lined/overlapped all the lines up or down or side to side useing the channel and the volume buttons and then held the enter button down until the TV flashed 3 times.Then I shut it off and when I turned it back on It was perfect.

this is embedded in the control chip of the remote and is rom..best to replace remote i personnaly have lots of luck repairing usually find cracked solder joints..remotes witstand lots of abuse but do break! john
