Re: SHIFT LOCKED ON
There should be a function key that is a light blue on the lower left. Hold that down and hit the NUM lock key at the upper right.
What happened is that you turned the numlock on just like on a regular keyboard but on a laptop, its a secondary function key where the letters double as numbers when the function numlock is turned on.

If you are printing all CAPS then it is the Caps Locks key. It is located just above the shift key on the left side of the keyboard. There should also be a light on the laptop indicating the Caps lock is on.
Either by pressing and holding the shift key (on left and right of keyboard, looks like up arrow) while typing, or by pressing the CAPS LOCK key to put capitals on or off. The caps lock key is usually one above the left shift key.
If you cant find them just advise your make and model of computer and I could tell you exactly where the keys are.
try pressing the caps lock key once, if still your caps lock key does not respond then possibly the key is stuck, try backing up your data first do a system restore when you think you can still use lower case on your keyboard then check if there will be changes, if still no changes occur, a long shot would be re imaging windows back to defaults again make sure you back up data first the then try again once windows is reinstalled if no changes then your keyboard works but the caps lock key is busted ^_^ I do not see any other option for the caps lock key to be troublshooted. ^_^
I have the HP Pavilion and cap locks does the same thing.
THIS WORKS EVERY TIME. Hit both the right and left shift lock simultaneously about 5 to 10 times. It immediately disengages the cap locks. It is a little bit of a hassle, but I'm just used to it. It may happen 3 times per week, but I LOVE the machine, so I just fix it this way!
