Self Cleaning Oven beeping and reading FSEO

I go to turn my selfcleaning oven on and it turns on and locks, but after a few minutes it starts beeping and FSEO comes up and I have to cancel the cleaning.

My oven is at least 10 years old and is exibiting the exact same problem as carebears594. This is a new problem for us, so it wouldn't be an installation issue, but maybe a worn out mechanism? Is it better solved by calling a repairman?

F5E0 Is a door switch error, and is best solved by checking that the door safety switch is securely installed and the associated wiring has not been compromised in any way. After that, replace the safety switch in the top of the oven.

You should be able to see an exploded view of the oven, and identify the switch, at SearsPartsDirdct.com.

Go in the back of the oven and there should be a tech sheet in a plastic bag. It will tell you what that code means. I assume it's a problem with the lock and switch mechanism. See what the code says it is

Self cleaning oven error code FSEO

Probably a bad door lock solenoid. That is some kind of door lock problem. Trouble is they are not all the same. This training manual shows locations of model number. Perhaps if you post that I might can come up with a tech sheet and you would get a better answer. see page 4

GMC305PD

appears that it is starting up the self cleaning feature ( which runs the temp up to the max to burn off any grease etc ) and locks the door.. You may have a defective control board.. or check the self cleaning switch position to make sure that is not activated... Hope that helps..
