OK I assume that by chuck snapped off the spindle is broken and if so there are 2 the low side spindle is part #324170-4 and the high side is 3241699. I believe the gears are a press fit on the spindle. the complete RAD part# is193316-1 and if the chuck only is damaged that number is 193319-5 and from what I can see it is a taper fit on the spindle, I didn't see a chuck retaining screw. If you would like to view the tool go to Makitausa.com and type in your model number and you can get a breakdown and also a list of Makita dealers in your area. Good luck and let me know if you still have any problems

Sds bit snapped in my makita bhr200 chuck.on taking the drill apart, the chuck is on a gear rod,and wont allow me to push the chuck down

You have to remove the striker bolt from inside the spindle first. to do this remove the internal circlip (not always easy) then you can tap the striker bolt out and then press the broken bit out.

I have snapped an SDS drill bit in my Bosch GBH 2000 drill. I have managed to remove the snapped bit, but now I can't get other bits to lock in. Any suggestions?

Check that you have removed all the bits from inside the spindle. Also check to see if you can see inside the spindle two fins inside the spindle (they provide the drive for the bit. Make sure that you have not lost the ball from the chuck assy and rebuilt it correctly.

How do I change the chuck on my milwaukee right angle 1/2" drill? It has snapped off behind the chuck

Take digital photos when taking the front metal gear box off the drill. Next carefully remove the two plastic halves of the drill if needed to gain access to the shaft that holds the chuck.
Replace the broken threaded metal part that the chuck screws onto.
Normally chuck replacement involves unscrewing the small screw deep inside the chuck on a metal shaft has a left hand thread. Next use a large allen wrench tightened in the chuck with a mallet to loosen the bad chuck. Reverse to install new chuck.

My 18v ryobi cordless drill does not hold a drill bit even tho i hold and tighten the chuck with my hand. It will hold for a wile but will eventually fall out. Thanks

Abrupt stops can loosen the ratcheting chucks. Before the invention of those chucks we had the ones that required a key. The proper way to tighten them is to alternate between all three position in order to "seat" the jaws on the bit evenly. That all but guaranteed it would not come loose I assume you have a ratcheting "one handed chuck". ther's only one way to tighten them and you don't get the same grabbing force. The only thing I can suggest is to try to eliminate abrupt stops or try cranking it tighter.

I dont have the manel and need to no how to use it

The drill uses bits with the SDS+ connection end. You have three different modes of operation. Hammer drill for drilling into concrete. Drill only for drilling into wood or steel and chip only for chiseling concrete. Now for drill only you would have to change out the chuck for a jacolbs style.

The bits just snap in the chuck. To remove the bits you just slide the chuck sleeve back and remove the bit. To change the chuck you wolulld place the palm of your hand over the chuck and using your fingers pull the sleeve on the chuck that is near the red housing towards your palm and just pull off the chuck. It will snap back on the same way.

I own a hd50spk hitachi...what drill bits are universal across the brands?

there are 2 main types of hammer drill bits, standard and SDS.

standard bits go in a regular style chuck hammer drill

SDS bits have 2 grooves and 2 elongated holes on the shaft which snap into the chuck

I'm not sure which type you have, but to answer, the 2 types are universal within their types

Connnect drill to keyless chuck bosch 36vfl1

Push or pull the business end toward the body while gently pressing and rotating the bit into it. The chuck will snap back up to retain the bit when you have it lined up right.

My rattle gun 18V LXT Impact Driver BTD141 has a double ended Philips stuck in it? how do i get it out?

There are a couple of ways to try to free the bit from the drill chuck. But slow and steady is the key, don't hit anything too hard, so as to not damage the chuck in the process, nor break off the bit in the chuck.

You'll need to put the bit into a bench vise and reverse the drill slowly and carefully. Make sure the bit is tightly secured in the vise and that the drill won't spin your hand around and slam it into the bench when you pull the trigger.

As a last resort, you can try tapping the bit sideways, to get it loose. With chuck opened up all the way possible, gently tap the bit sideways. This should also free the bit, but be very careful not to snap the bit off in the chuck, or you'll have a worse situation trying to get a broken bit out of the chuck.

If none of these work, you can attempt to secure the stuck bit in the bench vise and try to tap the drill chuck using a hammer and a flat brass bar resting against the drill chuck, so you don't damage the chuck. Just tap the brass bar to drive the chuck free of the stuck bit. You have to watch the bit in the vise to make certain it's not slipping and that the chuck is getting free.

Hope you find this Very Helful and best regards!
