HP D530 PB600a and sound

Hi,

i have a lot of difficulty to get a correct driver for the integrated sound card of this motherboard. I tried all the drivers from the HP site, but none r working!
It seems it is the AC97 Integrated ADI 1981B Audio, but even this is not working.
I have BIOs 2.44 on this machine, and i can not find where to disable the integrated audio so i can install a PCI card.

Any help will be welcomed!

TIA

Laurent

If you want to install PCI audio card, go ahead. And you can select the new device in "sounds and audio devices" after you intalled correct driver. good luck.

Hey, I've got an HP Compaq D530 SFF desktop machine whose sound card uses the SoundMAX drivers. The problem is that when I connect earphones/headphones on the front panel, and try to listen to music or...

moz-screenshot.pngmoz-screenshot-1.pngYour front panel audio / microphone connector has an AC97 connector inside which looks like this:

It is probably plugged into the motherboard somewhere. Try plugging it into the soundcard directly if it is in the motherboard. Or vice versa if it is plugged into the soundcard.

My problem is my VGA card is not working on window 7 & for ASUS P5PE-VM. Can you give me a link for this VGA download or solutions

Ron, I found this posted somewhere:

Users running ASUS P5PE-VM on Windows 7 having difficulty looking for compatible drivers, especially on graphic card and onboard sound card. The graphic card is old NVIDIA GForce 3 TI (AGP) and the sound on-board is SoundMax which is listed as SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio (TCSUS_CH5) F5410AMR. The driver which comes with the motherboard will not install the sound drivers because it doesn't recognize the OS even though it listed the sound card but only Realtek and analog devices.Trying to resolve this problem using Compatibility mode doesn't do the trick as there is no Vista compatible for GF3 driver. Windows 7 apparently won't recognize GF2 series and older ones. You will have to upgrade the video card. Try using Windows Update. If it doesn't find the driver online, then it means the driver is not supported by Win7. No luck for NForce 3 motherboards either, or NF 1/2 motherboards. Another workaround you can try is by installing NVIDIA's legacy driver 66.93 which was reported doing good on GeForce 3 TI 200. You will have to disable all directX hardware acceleration, but OpenGL works. It looks like upgrading is the last resort you can try after you try all above solution.

I hope this helps & good luck!

How do i download free sound driver?

Expansion card sound card:
Visit sound card manufacturer's support site and check for a downloads or driver downloads section for your product.

Onboard sound (integrated on motherboard):
determine what model of motherboard you have. Visit the motherboard manufacturer's support or downloads section.

Now, the caveat. If you are using a system that was made by a major computer company, like HP, Dell, and so on then you need to visit the support or downloads site at THAT company's website.

Windows XP, Integrated Sound on MB.. Windows can not see it on start. It says No Sound Device installed??????????????????

Hi there!

If it is integrated then enable it on the BIOS set up,
make sure you don't have a sound card plugged in.

If it still does the same thing, try updating sound drivers.

If it will really not work might want to get your motherboard check.

Hope this helps!

Hi i have hp d530 cmt DC755AV motherboard. i am facing problem with the audio. i want to know that is it necessary to connect the "speaker" leads of the casing with the motherboard for speakers to work....

While many HP boards have audio built in, on some the connections are on the motherboard itself. I own one myself & found it much easier to buy a $7.00 sound card from eBay, that included shipping to my front door.

No sound found

You have to install the correct sound drivers.
It doesn't matter if the sound is integrated on the motherboard, or you have a separated sound card.
One the drivers are installed, you'll be able to enjoy the sound from your system

Missing sound drivers

Hi,
Windows XP or other operating systems, only provide generic or standard running drivers.
If you have On-Board sound, you,ll need to go to the manufacturers site, and download all the drivers relating to your motherboard. Also check that you have connected the sound-card and cables correctly. Or if your using a DVD Drive, that you have the lead to connect Drive To Motherboard. ** This is usually a 3 pin plug connector.
