Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3i Cellular Phone

Motorola Razr phone charger gets message, ''unauthorized charger.

This is the same charger that I have used for about two years with no problem.  This just happened, no warning, did not get wet no impact damage.  Suddenly, as if using alien equipment in attempting charge. this charger came with the phone when new.

The problem was in the point of connection between the charger cord jack and the cell phone charger receptacle.  By moving the jack within the connection I was able to resume charging.  The connection may have become faulty as a result of heavy usage.

Getting unauthorized charger message when using universal charger for my Motorola Rival A455 phone--how to fix?

I had the same problem with my rival. I used a universal USB charger. It worked fine for a month or so and then stopped charging completely. I went to the Motorola website and downloaded the charging driver. I haven't had a problem since.

"Unauthorized Charger"

you can try to clean the charger port (but first make sure its not bent, or broken - the pins are really tiny and hard to see, so make sure)
But try cleaning the charge port on the phone and the charger with denatured (rubbing) alcohol, and a toothbrush -

Just make sure not to plug it in when you do this!

and clean both the charger and phone, make sure neither are bent
lastly, try a new charger!

V3 Mototola Razr Phone Freezes and charger won't work

unfortunately the phone needs to be reflash but this will delete all information on the phone.
So take the phone to a mobile service center and have that done.

Unauthorized charger

I software reset through the settings menu will usually resolve this, or a software update. Make sure you backup your data before doing this though, as you will lose all data in the phone.

If you are unable to do a software update, post a new question regarding this and I would be happy to help you out.

Won't recgonize charger now

I'm not very sure about how the problem can be fixed, but the best thing to try is probably to make sure the charger is clean, and if it still doesn't work, try it on a different RAZR charger.

Motorola RAZR won't charge

that happens mostly with third party chargers..you may want to explore the option of charging your phone using the PC and a USB cable...you may be required to download a software or driver for it ..along with eh motorola phone tool
