Question about Nintendo Game Boy Color Console

GAMEBOY Color power problem - not batteries!!!

I tried to switch on the old game boy color just for the nostalgia and found that there is a power problem - when i switch it on the red light comes on - it loads up as normal but a few seconds later the red light flashes and it switches off! is there anyway i can solve this problem e.g by disassembling or something?

Thanks,
Nick

P.S. it is not the batteries, believe me i have tried lots of different brands! lol

My prized game boy color wont turn on i had it checked but it still wont turn on

Some times the springs and plates in the battery compartment need cleaning. Did this to my classic Gameboy and the thing works like it's new.
Extreme cases the Gameboy Color has 2 fuses that can burn from age or voltage input is too high these are easy to replace or just patch if you have skill with a soldering iron.

How do i fix the power switch on a gameboy color?

fix-power-switch-gameboy-color-c4uivwgyi1cnlimeypugijuv-5-0.jpgWell you would have to take the game boy colour apart then to see if it can be fixed. Try turning it on with a piece of metal or you can use duct tape then.

There is no easy fix. Well, there is, but you have to open the game cartridge
all gameboy game cartridges have a battery inside. this battery powers the save module. Pokemon gold is such an old game that the battery has likely died; open the game, replace the battery, and it should work. images?q=tbn:ln15bafqcr5fzm: Leave me good feedback please.

Wont work the gameboy color screen shows a blurred nintendo logo

this happened to me as well, from personal experience it seems that your game got to hot and fried the circuitry a bit, i had to get a new game, found out if a little moister gets in there and heats up on a hot day, the power supply on the game system fries the circiutry, if you got it used see if they will return it for a better one, if you recently got it, i hope so...best of luck...shia

Hello, when I turn on the gameboy color it stays on the logo screen. This happens even if I insert a game. Any ideas?

Are the batteries new?

Insert the game before you turn on the gameboy. Try blowing air in the connections area of the game and in the connections area of the gameboy itself.

Dan12:

Your Game Boy Color Pink can play any games that are for:

Game Boy Original (Gray Cartridges size of your palm)
Game Boy Color 1 (Black Cartridges same as the Gray)
Game Boy Color 2 (Translucent Game Cartridges with a hump on top of the cartridge)

The games mentioned above are the ones that are able to play on Game Boy Color units.

Some games you might like are:

Mario Games
Wario Games
Pokemon Games
Donkey Kong Games
Kirby Games
Yoshi Games

Action Games
Adventure Games
Whatever fits you, the cartridges are large and twice the size of an advance game, all games for the systems mentioned above are compatable with your pink game boy color unit.

Thanks!
