Dear alexm326, 2-15-2009 2:55pm EST (USA)

The best I can offer is that you try this company that specializes in dvd region codes @ [email protected] <[email protected]>

E-Mail them your Make & Model # and they should get back to you in about 4 hours and let you know if they can do it. If they can't I doubt if anyone could!

As on this brand its not possible to change the region as mentioned in the user manual.but still you can try this as they provide region codes for many brands and models This message implies that the DVD you're trying to play is the "wrong" region. Many DVD players do have options to make them region free; try searching for the make and model of your DVD player together with "region free", and you should be able to find instructions about making your player region free.Go to:------
 www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks
and type in your model number and if they have a hack, you can program your remote to change dvd Region. N America is region 1.

Hello my sharp dv-nc200 dvd player can only play regional code 4, but I have dvd's from europe, which are regional code 2, can I change this somwhere in the setup or menu or elsewhere thanks a lot for...

If it is set to only play region 4 discs, then that's what the player can do - you cannot change the region code and I don't believe there is a hack to unlock this particular model to make it region-free.

The only types of discs acceptable are those which match the region of the player or discs which are 0 (region-free). I have never found a menu option to change region settings in any player. It is not modifiable nor accessible. There may be a player on the market which is multi-region compatible and will play your region 2 DVDs perfectly; just not this one. It is a restriction, not a fault.

Do not fix what isn't broken.

Apparently they are locked to region 4 and I have bought region 1 DVDs so they won't play

In most models the unit cannot converted to multi-regions.So it will play only in the specified region in which it is applicable to.But in some unit models there is a procedure to turn the unit to multi region so it can play all region dvd.On all models the procedure to convert the unit to multi region is different. As you have not mentioned the exact model number of your unit.t will not be easy to give exact details. If in case there is a procedure to convert your unit to multi region.

Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

I live in germany and want to play dvd,s from Australia, Pioneer DV-360 from german store

Most DVD players I've seen are either multi-regional or one-region units. The DVD player you bought might be a one-region device. I'd check on that first. If it is, then you'll only be able to play DVD's made for that particular region. If it is multi-regional, look in the manual or go to Pioneer's website to possibly find the codes.

Wrong Regional Disc.

DVDs are ecoded with region codes to indicate what area of the world they are made for. These codes may be 1,2,3, etc depending on which region they are made for.
DVD player read these codes and if the disc region code does not match the region the device is made for, the player will not play the disc.
Region 1 is for USA so most DVDp players made for use in USA require region 1 discs.
Some DVD players called multi region DVD players can be set to play different region DVDs but they are typically more expr=ensive then one region players and the code must be changed each time a different region disc is played.
