I read it to this point and thought "I bet it's an OGG, or DIVX, or XVID
file or something, just burned to a blank DVD, and not recorded in the standard
DVD video format. Since many self-contained DVD players can handle some of
those forms, it would make sense". The other possibility would be that your
XBox DVD drive can't read the DVD, but that was ruled out by the next part...
Try putting a commercial DVD in XBMP. If you don't see a different file
arrangement, the other alternative is that they messed up the DVD encoding, and
that your Pioneer unit was a tad more forgiving. I don't think that the XBox
should have a problem with region-0 DVDs in general though.
