My laptop does not allow me to view videos very well. After I put the cd in the drive, it makes a ton of sound like it's doing something, but it just sounds like it rotating the cd in the drive. I have windows media player, and a few other programs that I know can play the video, and I am positive that the video CAN be played. However, it does not recognize the cd at all. Thanks for your help.

Press and hold copy. Enter password then press menu. Enter time, date, and camera number. Insert blank CD-R into cd drive. Press menu to move to next screen. Select add next option to put the time/date into the black dialog box. After it puts that info into the black box use the arrow keys to select create cd. This will burn the info from the black box onto the cd. DM dvrs also download viewing software along with the recorded video so you will be able to view it from any pc with a cd drive.

this until has a safety feature installed that will not let you view video while in motion. it has a light green wire on the back that is supposed to be connected to the cars ebrake wire so that in order to view video you would have to have your ebrake ingaged. it also allows you to be able to type in address for the navigation. if this wire is not connect or not connected properly, you will get a messages that says drive can not view video will driving..

your media player is very ok... only is you dont have a support programs or plug-ins to view a video on it.. You said that is has a sound, of course it do but video is not there... Heres what you should do: download the software that help your media player to view a video on it. we call it a CODEC PACK, here is the link to download a codec pack www.k-lite.com, see for yourself. Good Luck!
I do this all the time with my ATI powered laptops... Right click the desktop, select properties, choose settings then
advanced. You should have 3 screens. Laptop, Monitor and TV (I only get
'multiple monitors' no matter what I try...) You must have it connected before it will allow you to 'activate it' Once its activated theres a place for you to click to make the s-video / tv output your DEFAULT... Keep in mind that with some media players (windows for example) the movie image will only appear on the default screen- the other screen will be blank. So if you are intending to record to your VCR make sure that your TV is the Default.
