Wiring in oven

I have a kitchenaid wall oven/convection that I need to re-install. It has 6 wires in the wiring harness, the standard 4 wires are straight forward but where do the extra 2 wires (black with white stripe and brown wire) get connected to?

I need to replace my 1987 approx. Chef wall oven Balmain fan forced and grill. Does anyone know the cut out dimensions. I want to buy anew oven that will fit the existing opening. Thanks

when you buy the ovens replacement
instructions are given in the paper work how to adjust the cavity to suit

there will have to be an air gap on back and sides of the new oven

you should call an electrician to wire in the new oven
to check , even replace the 1987 wiring and connections
if needed to meet the 2016 house wiring standards

you will need
tape measure
pencils
a square
straight edge
reversible hand drill and bits
two levels .... for inside the cavity to level oven
approx a 15 inch .one 6 inch
a hand saw or circular saw
, i found a jigsaw helpful

self tapping screws different lengths
as per the oven fitting requirements
you can use any paint to finish the job

white board or MDF board is ok

some extras strips of timber to level the new oven
maybe required

if imperial was used for the cavity of the old oven
metric might be for the new oven

F2E5 showed on the display and the oven turned off

The F2 E5 error indicates that there is a fault between the key pad and the control unit. (The wiring is giving an "open" fault.)

Press Cancel and wait 60 seconds. If the error recurs, you need to get behind the keypad and check that the wiring is securely connected to the keypad and the central control unit. Inspect the wires for any breaks. Check each conductor for continuity on each side of the wiring harness, if possible. Reconnect the wiring and press Cancel again. If the error recurs after 60 seconds, you'll need to replace the keypad or the keypad and control unit. (KitchenAid provides the keypad and control unit as a single assembly for some models.)

If your oven is still under warranty, contact KitchenAid for service.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model number of your oven for details on the appropriate replacement parts.

Oven keypad is completely black but inside oven lights work. does keypad have a separate fuse?

Yes. Many of these have a display thermal fuse that is part of the wiring harness that connects to the board... it should have continuity. WP4451042. Almost all models have what is called the "oven shut-down thermal fuse" which is on the back of the machine ( you have to pull it out of the wall and remove the back panel) and looks like this KitchenAid Range Stove Oven Thermal Fuse WP9759242

Shows F2 E1 no buttons work?

Sounds like a shorted keypad error(F2-E0). I do not see a F2-E1 error listed. You will need to pull the top front panel off and verify that the keypad wiring harness is fully seated. You might want to try removing the harness then re-plugging it back in. Inspect the wiring for shorts(exposed wires). And make sure the appliance is unplugged from the electrical outlet before attempting any repairs.

F9 error code while using the convection baking function

This is a lock switch error code. Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong). Check for stuck lock switch. If the switch cannot be re adjusted, it must be replaced.
