Unsupported Cartridge I have a Versajette M300 printer. I purchased two original sealed OEM cartridges #34 and #35 by Lexmark which is supposed to be the cartridges for this printer. After I installed them I get the message "Unsupported Cartridges" and does not go beyond this message to let me print. If you click continue you get the same message back. How can I get around this. Michael

I just found out that the Lexmark Z1300 uses the same ink cartridge as the Versajette M300. It might be worth while seeing if switching to that ink cartridge makes a difference in how the silly thing prints! Lexmark did make the printer, by the way.... I discovered that on several different sites including Lexmarks.

Lexmark 4350 wont print with unsupported cartridge

That's the reason why Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled, refurbished or remanufactured cartridges. You may not get the quality and performance from the ink cartridges that is specially formulated and manufactured by Lexmark. I would highly recommend that you replace your refurbished cartridges and use original supplies.

How can i use a lexmar 34 ink cartridge on a versajette m300 printer that was made by lexmark

Does Versajette list the Lexmark cartridge as supported on their printer?

If it is not listed, then you need to contact Versajette and find out why.

Smudged checks with Versajette m300

Buy a cheap $100 Laserjet printer. I had the same problem w/ my Vesajette 300v8 and there was nothing I could to to fix the piece of s&@!. They wouldn't replace it, so I did. Checks can be printed on a std laser printer and accepted by the banks as they are read w/ optical scanners. MICR inks aren't mandatory, just a recomendation by the Federal Reserve to add a level of security to the checks. I have had no problems with my checks being accepted by the banks using the laser printer and standard toner ink. My checks are'nt in color anymore, but they do look awesome and look very crisp and professional. No more smudges, YAY!!
