Philips HTS-8100/59 - Locks up trying to enter Low Power Standby

Unit is a Philips HTS-8100 Cineos Soundbar - works fine normally, powers up and enters standby via remote control, plays DVD etc.
Problem is if unit is left on unused for a while, it appears to try to enter low power standby but locks up -

Display shows ' ENTERING LOW PWR STANDBY ', but unit remains on with LEDs all fully lit.

I've found no way of getting out of this, only pulling out the main power plug for a minute and rebooting unit.
???? Is there any fix for this, and have many other people got this problem ???

SOURCE: where can i buy the htd7001 ipod docking station email me if you still want to buy Philips iPod docking station. I just came across one in a box of misc. electronics I bought at an auction house in Phoenix, AZ. I can use eBay and list it as a private auction. I don't have anyway to test it. I would refund $ it did not work.

I have e Philips Cineos 37PF9830, I think that is e Power Problem. He ned's 10 min tu warm up. And then everything works fine. But I am afraid that's getting worse. I replace the 2 big Capacitors and

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time.

Philips htl2100/12 soundbar doesnt respond to remote control after plugging in

My soundbar won't power up. So I pull the battery out of remote, press a few buttons, put the battery back in and all of a sudden the device can be powered up and controlled. Until next time it stops responding. I replaced that original battery with a new one but the problem still persists.

Standby mode

If you have your soundbar connected via HDMI, look for an option to disable the link between your TV and your soundbar (when this option is on on the devices connected toghether, when you turn off/on any of them automatically does to the same with all devices).

I have a PHILIPS DVP3962. My DVD player used to play where I left off watching my DVDs, but recently, when I turn it off and turn it back on, it starts from the beginning of the DVD. Dose anybody know why...

Resume function is wiped from the player's memory buffer whenever the unit is switched to standby (either with the [POWER] button on the main unit, the remote or turned off at the wall), the disc is removed, or the [STOP] button is pressed twice (either on the front or via the remote).

(The simplest thing you can try is to insert a DVD, play a few minutes of its main title, press [STOP] once, not twice, leave it for 10 minutes, then press [PLAY] - it should resume, and thus continue your movie from where you left off)

Resume is considered 'temporary memory' in DVD devices, and therefore is not intended to store the playback point of the disc permanently whenever power is lost, [STOP] is pressed twice or discs are ejected.

However, this is relatively normal, and is not a fault, but it can be annoying to the user.

Philips hts 6102 region codes

People seem to have said that there isn't a region hack for the HTS 6120, but I did mine yesterday by just following the standard Philips steps:

1) Turn on
2) Eject
3) Enter 99990 OK
4) Turn off (Standby)

Works fine now for region 1 and 2 (I don't have any DVDs from other regions).

Philips Home Theater - Annoying high pitch sound while on standby

I have the same problem with the same model, so obviously it's not a single-unit problem. My only solution, since taking it back isn't feasible at this point, is to have a DVD on play-pause so that it's not on standby. Waste of energy, so I don't do it all the time, only when I'm sitting in the room late at night making the high-pitched noise hard to ignore.

Philips Cineos flat screen TV vith Ambilight 37PF9631D/10, went in standby and blinking red power led diode once-two times in cicles.

Sounds like an issue with the power supply board. We will have to go component by component and you will need to knowledge of using a multimeter. If you are skilled enough to do this then let me know and I will help you troubleshoot it.

Just like everyone...came home all of a sudden the unit won't turn on ???? standby light is on but nothing..

In addition to just unplugging the unit, another method that worked for me when unplugging it did not was to unplug the HDMI cable from the TV and then unplug and replug.
