Question about HP DeskJet 5652 InkJet Printer

Message "Black cartridge is not compatible with this printer"

Hi, my problem with the hp deskjet 5652 is the following. The printing went without a problem one day and the next day it did not work and I received the massage "Black cartridge is not compatible with this printer“. I had not changed the cartridge in between nor had I ever refilled the existing one or used any other than than the hp ones for this printer. I cleaned the contacts in the printer and on the cartridge with cotton buds and a drop of water on the buds and clean dry buds after that, then with a dissolvant for optical appliances, took the cartridge out several times, put it in again, switched the computer and the printer off and started it anew. Then I put in a new cartridge - but nothing helped - I always get this message. Can't even see how much is left in the cartridge because when I try I receive the message "Unexpected error 1517". The printer has worked for years without any technical hickup at all. I would be so grateful for any advice or ideas!

I can't close the lid on hp deskjet 5652 printer

try removing all ink and one by one just make sure it is all the way in securely. if that does not help its most likely you are closing the doornto fast or on an angle which prevents it from closing properly. hope this helps.

Hi

when that problem happened to me I put the ink in hot water
if the ink refill that's don't matter
try that and if that don't help you change the ink

Hp deskjet 5652 not printing, orange light flashing continuously

1. Check to insure the cover is shut down completely.

2. If the "Ink Drop" Icon is blinking you are either out of ink, or there is a problem with the cartridge carrier. So open the cover - the carriage should move to the middle, if not it is bound up somewhere. Check the guides and around the carriage area for gummy labels etc..

3. If the carriage moves to the middle, release the ink cartridges and replace.

4. If the "Arrow" Icon is blinking, this could be a result of a paper feed error. Remove the paper from the tray, open the cover and insure no jams are in the rollers. Shuffle the paper lightly and place back in tray. Check to make sure the tray is pushed completely forward and then press the "Arrow" Icon button until a sheet is fed into the printer.

* * Note: When you are replacing the Ink cartridges and before you remove the tape from the bottom heads, give them a shake to lossen up the ink before installing.

5652 and Vista - duplex print not working

In Vista the default s the duplexer is "not installed". Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Printers, double-click on the Deskjet, Printers, Properties, Device Settings and set the duplexer to "Installed".

If the duplexer prints the back side upside down in Vista once it is enabled you can get a patch as described here.

HP deskjet 5652

Well, one way is to just take the paper out when it tries, and when it gives you an error message tell it to abort the print. Another way is that the second it starts printing press the power button, or cancel button if it has it, that will tell the printer to stop printing.
