Question about HP LaserJet 1100a Printer

HP LaserJet 1100A unwanted toner marks on face of print

LaserJet 1100A is producing regular toner marks on the print face at 7.5cm (3ins) intervals 8.0cm (3 1/8ins) in from the left edge of the finished page. Having run the cleaning procedure on several occasions without improvement I notice that the toner marks are tight against the drive wheel marks left on the paper after cleaning. Using school maths I should be looking for a roller or something that is about 1ins in diameter ( Dia = 3 / 3.142 ). Can anyone advise me please?

Check this link,
either fuser or print drum. to verify , start print job, open door before finnished and see if marks appear before or after fuser. Before paper gets to fuser toner ink will smudge.

Hp 4700n laserjet printer. I get black dashes on the right hand side of the page exactly every 1 1/2" every time i print. I've replaced the infuser and the image transfer kit but still get the marks. What...

I would first suspect the black toner cartridge. This is especially true since you have replaced the Fuser and Transfer Units. Most likely you have a pit or other mark on the drum surface so it is printing the mark on the page at regular intervals as the drum rotates. If you have a spare I would swap it out and I'd be willing to bet it goes away.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Single sheet paper on my HP LJet 1100a works fine

There is a recall fix on this printer if it has specific feed problems like pulling in multiple sheets etc. Might be related. You can contact HP and they'll send you a DIY fix kit to replace the rubber that pulls the sheet in and onto the rollers.

Bad Printing and Stripes on Printed Sheets on HP 1100A

It isn't a fuzer problem it is most likly a image drum problem. To fix you have two choices replace the image drum with a oem part or a refurbished part or replace the printer. sometimes it is cheaper to get a replacement printer than to replace this part.

HP LaserJet 1500... prints color yellow ONLY

It's possible that the toner in the cartridge is not evenly distributed. You can redistribute toner if you gently shake the cartridge from side to side, then reinstall it to see if this affects performance. Please also see this article.
You might wish to use the guided troubleshooting option available from HP support here. Or have a look at the troubleshooting section in the user manual here. Then clean the engine & calibrate the printer, as described pg. 88.
If that's no help, please see this forum post and the linked attachments within.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

I had to jump in my 'time machine' for this one, but it is probably as simple as a low toner cartridge. remove it, and give it a shake, then replace it, to see if that solves the problem in the sort term. Get a replacement cartridge if it does.

please let me know

Samsung ML-2010 Mono Laser Printer leaves unwanted marks on page.

if older printer or well used printer (All laser printers if they have print quality issues - it is mostly either the toner or the fuser). the only way to tell is get (borrow) a toner and see if problem is the same or remove the fuser (the hot thing in the printer) and see if the "ironing" unit or fuser rollers are dirty or worn out or scratched
