Question about Abit NF-M2S Motherboard
Hi i have an ABIT mobo model NF-M2S chipset MCP61 rev A3.
Currrently it is using bios ID:16 (m613z16) as descibed on the ABIT site and there are 3 updates available, so i downloaded the latest, bios ID:19 (m613z19)
then after making a floppy boot disc copied the unzipped files to the floppy wich includes ABITFAE.BAT AWDFLASH.EXE M613Z_19.BIN M613Z_19.TXT RUNME.BAT.
After a reboot jumped into the bios settings to change primary boot device to floppy drive,
Once booted from floppy and at a command prompt i typed in rumme.bat wich started the flash process and finnaly i was asked to "input file name",
Now in the "file name to program" box was m613z_19.bin wich i see as correct (but even if it wasnt i had no way of changing this as the keyboard would do nothing at all)
Then after 20 mins of beating it with a hammer i get a message "disk not ready" and "the program files part number does not match with your system!" any help would be much appreciated and thanks in advance.
Oh and full current bios ID is: NF-MCP61-6A61KE11C-16 dated 5/16/07
Try making a disk again - use a brand new disk and check it for errors.
