Question about HP PSC 1510 All-In-One InkJet Printer

2 Answers

My printer won't let me cancel printing documents.

When I try to cancel it just says it's deleting and never does. I then tried to delete the printer and reinstall, but it again says it's deleting the printer and never does and the reinstalled printer says it's printing but never does because it's waiting for the deleted document. So I have ended up with 2 deleting connections with 1 doc deleting and 2 connections with one doc pending. HELP.

    Software never deletes jobs if you try to cancel them. So you have to reboot the pc each time and even then it sometimes still has a job blocking the print queue

This is a common problem with Windows. You don't need to delete the printer or re-install anything. If a job gets stuck at 'deleting, just reboot and when the PC comes back up the job will not be in the queue any more.

Disconnect the printer for the computer.  Go to printers and faxs within control panel . Highlight printer; On the far left. delete this printer.    If that does not work, repair windows with the windows disk.

Turn off printer for 2 minutes @ least, turn back on, or delete printer and re-install printer. Go to HPsupport website enter your printer model info update drivers.

Today i was trying to print a document, but then when it came out of my printer, its not how i wanted it to be printed. So i pressed cancel on the printer itself. When i tried printing the document again,...

You must clear the que.

You should be able to download the print driver. Id try clearing the que first. do the three finger wave if necessary to find the process - terminate it - then reopen the que - see if the document is gone.

Unplug your printer - ower and signal ... go get a soda . when you get back plug the stuff back in ... remember - shut the stuff off first!

I hope this helps

Assuming you have a modern windows pc, You will need to manually stop the print service. Do this by running the command "net stop spooler" from the "run" line. Then go to "C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS" and delete all the files from there. After these files are gone, start the spooler service again by running "net start spooler". You should be all set after that.

Printer failing to print

start --> run --> services.msc

press enter / click on ok

scroll down to print spooler and right click on it and click on restart and then go back into printers and faxes and right click on printer and cancel all documents or delete the print job

If that fails to work you may need to use the utility that came with your printer to cancel it - short of that you can just turn the printer off for about 5 seconds and back on.
