Question about DISH Network IR Remote Control
I'm replacing the batteries every 2 1/2 - 3 days on my Dish DVR Remote. This is a recent development in the last few weeks.
The only way I've found to stop it is to remove one battery whenever the remote's not being used. If I forget and leave them in overnight the next day I get a low battery warning and they quit within 24 hours. I have tried all the name brand batteries and a couple generics... no change.
Most likely there is a button on the remote that is stuck on. try moving all the buttons to see if they "feel" stuck. if not then take the remote apart and clean the contact pad bottoms and the surface of the board with rubbing alchohol. good luck!
