Question about Panasonic Phones

Trying to use multiple base units

I'm trying to use a Panasonic cordless phone (KX-TG1811AL) with 2 separate base units but the handsets only recognise one base unit (whichever one I set them up to). I need for them to pick up the signal from either base unit depending where in the building I am as the signal is not strong enough from one unit over the whole building. Currently if I walk with the phone towards the other base unit the signal fades out and it doesn't pick up the other signal.
Is there a way to set the base units so that the handset can pick up the signal from whichever unit is closest?

It is not possible to set up 2 base units to work with same handset as the base unit and the handset are tagged by their operating frequency, which also works as the privacy filter for the user, so that your neighbors cannot pick up your line and use on your expense. For your requirement you need a DECT system that can support multiple base stations.

Panasonic kx-tg2730 my extra cordless phone (2) tells me i'm too far away from base (1) when i'm right nexr to it. how can i connect it to the base?

One of the functions of your handset is REGISTRATION or RE-REGISTRATION. It involves stepping to that command, pressing enter, then pressing the handset locator button on the base and the two units can link up.

Increase number of rings

You can select the desired ringer patterns of the base unit and cordless

handsets. 4 patterns are available for each line. Your phone comes from

the factory set to pattern 1. Programming must be carried out

separately for the base unit and cordless handset(s).

Make sure that the base unit/cordless handset is in the standby mode.

Base Unit Handset

4 Enter the desired pattern using

the dialing buttons ((1) to (4)) for

each line. To move to another

line, press H or I.

• Each time you select a pattern, it

rings.

5 Press (ENTER).

• A beep sounds.

• To return to the standby mode,

press (EXIT).

1 Press (FUNCTION).

2 Press or until the arrow

points to "Ringer setting",

and press H.

3 Press or until the arrow

points to "Ringer pattern",

and press H.

• The current settings are displayed.

I have a panasonic cordless phone, model kx-tga820. for some reason both handsets now say that it is busy when i push the talk button. Our other phones are ok. Why?

Hi,

If you get busy tone in your Panasonic KX-TGA820 cordless phone, it may be due to any one of the following reasons:

1)The called handset is in use.

2)The handset you are calling is too far from the base unit.
Check whether the base unit is not so far from the handset

3)There is no handset registered to the base unit matching the extension number you entered.
Try to re-register the handset to the base unit again, To know details regarding registering and re-registering, please refer page 38 of the manual, which you can download from the link given below

4)Other units are in use and the system is busy. Try again later.
Try to check whether the other units are not using your base unit

You can download manual for your phone from the following link for reference

Semi Dead Panasonic KX-TGA100N with ''C533'' displayed.

Panasonic KX-TG1050N Cordless Phone. Base handset (No. 1, KX-TGA100N) does not work, no keypad response or dial tone. Green indicator message light ON (should only work with the TG1000N base unit) all the time till battery runs down. Display shows message ?C533?. Can still send and receive calls on extension phones 2 and 3.

press function button on handset, scroll to initial setting, select by pressing right arrow, scroll to registration, select, select hs registration, follow directions on handset display, pressing mute on "new" base station, and ok on handset(plugged in). If you like, you can unregister with the "old" base unit first.
