Need to print a half-fold card envelope with HP Photosmart C4480
I have been trying for hours to print a simple half-fold size greeting card envelope using the HP C4480 all-in-one printer. Even their tech support didn't know what I was talking about. He kept asking me what kind of paper, then directed me to hp article on how to do a quarter fold. I tried to use the custom size, and it still gave me error messages on incorrect size. Please, help if anyone can.
Re: need to print a half-fold card envelope with HP...
I'm printing wedding invitation envelopes (or A6) and had to set both my C4480 and psc1315 to a regular size 8.5x11 letter size but changed my margins to reflect the smaller size for my envelope with the left side of the screen being the more narrow margin. After adjusting the top margin accordingly, I fed the envelopes, flap side down and straight into the printer and voila...envelope addresses are printed. Good luck.

Click on Print, then Properties, then features. About half way down there is a drop down box under sizing options. Click on custom Create a name, and put your width and height in. Click Save and then OK Completely X out of the print options. Then Click File, print on the bottom of that screen there should be a scale to paper size drop down box. Scroll to the bottom and your saved name and dimensions should be there.
You will have to setup each individual sized template ones and then just scale to fit each time. Hope this helps
It sounds like you may have a size mismatch in the settings. Please refer to this link for information and the settings that you need to verify. You should be able to refer to the packaging for the envelope size to select.
I have an hp photosmart c4480 and was having the same problem printing wedding invitations. Same size 5.5"x8.5'. Im not sure if this will work on your printer, but this is what I had to do.

If your options are different then mine, I'm sorry for wasting your time.
Make sure you check the settings in the print driver. Sounds like your paper size settings do not match the size of the paper that you are printing onto and you are actually getting a false jam because the machine is seeing a different size paper then you ahve in it.
