Question about ASUS P5Q3 DELUXE/WIFI-AP CH1-11 LGA 775 Intel P45 Intel Motherboard

Loud ring while trying to boot for first time with Asus P5Q3

I get a constant loud ring when trying to boot up on this motherboard for the first time. It's an immediate constant loud tone immediately after it starts to power up.

I've checked that the RAM is stated correctly, processor, etc. It's not that. I wonder if this is a video card issue or what. It's a distinct tone but ASUS doesn't talk about what this could be in the manual.

ASUS P5Q3 with Xeon CPU

Yes, it will work. However it depends on which one you buy. Here's one that will work with that particular motherboard.

First, visit this website. Now search for, "Xeon" (Without the quotes, though). Click the second result on the list, which should be the, "Intel Xeon E3110 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80570E3110 - Retail." That processor is a 45NM LGA-775 processor, which Asus claims that motherboard can support 45NM LGA-775 processor.

Let me know if I can assist you further, or if I need to explain anything in more detail. If this solves your question, please rate the solution.
