Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

1 Answer

My DS won't read my Action Replay and Gamestop won't take it.

It's been about 9 months since I've had it. I spent $25 on it and I don't want to have to go through the whole saving money thing again for another one.
I have tried Hold A and B and SELECT and START but it is no use. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello dijanilaplac,

There can be many problems with your Action Replay DS. Try taking the Action Replay out of your Nintendo DS Lite Console, and look at the part those goes into the DS. Make sure nothing is bent, or missing. If something is, it might mean you may have to have it repaired, or replaced. Also keep in mind that sometimes Action Replays can be sensetive, so don't move it around while playing, or it may cause your DS to freeze up.

If you just bought this Action Replay recently, it should have been supplied with a CD to insert into your computer. You should install Action Replay onto your computer. When you have been brought to the main Action Replay Code Manager, find your USB and Action Replay plug in. Plug the small end into the top of the Action Replay cartridge, and the USB into the computer. Now a New Hardware wizard should have popped up on your computer.

When prompt, select, "Install from specific location.", then click next. Then select Search from CD-ROM. Sometimes it may sound different, just select the one that says something about searching from a CD-ROM. After this has completed, reset your Action Replay.

If the problem persists, feel free to contact me, for questions, or replies.
Nate,

Whenever i start up my DS with my action replay inside, it will instantly go to white screen of death. is there any way to fix this?

i believe not. you may have permanently caused damage to either your action replay or DS. if this only happens while your action replay is inserted, it is likely a problem with the firmware or hardware, your action replay device may have loose wires or circuitry, or have a scratch(es) on the outer metal strips used for the DS to read the device.

Action Replay code manager wont read me action replay

Your replay needs re-setting....
  1. With your console powered off insert the Action Replay DS
  2. Hold down buttons A+B
  3. Turn your console on
  4. With A+B still held down, as soon as you see the Action Replay DS license screen press and hold down buttons START+SELECT so that you now have 4 buttons held down
  5. Hold all 4 buttons down for around 10 seconds until the Action Replay DS loads to it`s home screen
  6. If Action Replay DS doesn’t hold on the license screen for around 10 seconds when you do this, you may need to turn off and try again
You can tell if it needs re-setting by...;

* Code Manager PC software is reporting that Action Replay DS does not contain enough free space when it actually contains no codes.
* Code Manager PC software is reporting the console`s battery is low when it’s actually fully charged.
* Multicoloured bars are shown on the screen after you confirm the entry of a game ID when trying to manually enter codes. * You can use the Code Manager PC software without any problems until the Action Replay DS is connected via USB set to the update mode on the console, at which point Windows shows a run time error.
If you are experiencing any of these problems, please follow the steps below to reset the Action Replay DS hardware. Please beware that resetting the Action Replay DS hardware will not restore a default codelist, and any codes which are stored on the Action Replay DS will be erased.

My action replay code manager is empty and I want to add pokemon

You need to restart your action replay.

to do this follow these steps.

1. hold A and B while turning on your DS.

2. at the Nintendo screen hold start and select.(still holding A and B.)

3. Let go when the screen saying, nintendo dose not''blah blah'' this product.

4. Turn off when you see the action replay title screen.

Once restarted try and add a code.
I had the same problem, but i did the above.

I want cheats for Ridge racers5

I'm not sure if you're asking for cheat codes for use with Ridge Racer DS for the Nintendo DS, or Ridge Racer V for the Playstation 2 - Unfortunately, neither game has actual cheats built into them. You can, however, use a hex editor tool (also referred to as a Trainer, Gameshark, or Action Replay), which would allow you to cheat.

Purple screen + Hacked hacks

the purple screen and mesed up action replay are normal. action replay is not a licensed product of nintendo. it is only natural to have lag. (i have had 2 action replays before my third one. the first two broke...like yours. the only sokution is to get it repaired at a gamestop [if they even repair them] or just get a new one)
