Hey there i have a gilera runner 2003 model! my batter has been working fine up until yesterday! i had my bike turned on and then turned it off again and then i turned it back on and i saw no lights then...

acid overflow is caused by overheating, so there is a short someplace, disconnect the battery and neutralize the leaked acid with baking soda dissolved in water and remove the battery. (the short can even be internal, in the battery) Replace the battery with a new one, connecting a voltmeter between the negative terminal and its cable. (An ampmeter of t least 10 amps capacity would be better.) With the key off, the meter should read zero. a reading indicates a short to ground somewhere. Trace all wires, look carefully where wires go through holes or past edges for bare or burned wires. When the meter reads zero, you can turn on the ignition and gingerly touch the negative cable to the negative terminal and watch for a spark, it should be small, assuming the ignition is battery operated, not by magneto. Turn on the lights should cause a slightly larger spark. A big spark and dimming of the lights means there is still a big short you have to find. Otherwise, turn off the key , hook up the negative cable, firmly but easy to disconnect, and try the system.

My car want start battery is fully charged. But the immobilizer light on the instrument panel stays on?

Having a full charged battery won't just solve the promblem. You might want to check with the battery terminal connection on the postive+ and negative-, It might be corroded, grease, or acid build up, so check for thse signs, also it could be that clamps are not fully tighten. You still can get power to the car from the baterry which in this case is leads to the immoblizer lights on the dash boards to stay on, but the terminal are corroded with acid, grease, or just from dirt, and with these element in presence, the battery is not fully ground. The engine needs a specific amount of amplitude from the battery for the engine to crank. A kia sorento v6 engine needs alot of cranking amp. So my solution is, check the battery connection terminal on the battery and the cable (positive and negative connections) de-tach the cable connections, clean the connection cables which are the adapter to the battery, and the battery terminals, with a toothbrush or high grit sandpaper until dirt, acid build up, grease are gone, and reinstall the cables. See if this will help.

1994 Toyota 4 runner: I changed battery just fine; but can't get the fastener back in place.

I would make sure the fastener fits your battery and vice versa. Make sure it is not upside down or something like that. Is the replacement battery the same size as the old one? Battery REMOVAL & INSTALLATION NOTE: Refer to Section 1 for details on battery maintenance.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the terminal, then disconnect the positive cable. Special pliers and pullers are available to remove the clamps. Be careful of the many wires and fittings on and around the positive terminal. NOTE: To avoid sparks, always disconnect the negative cable first and reconnect it last.
  2. Unscrew and remove the battery hold down clamp.
  3. Remove the battery, being careful not to spill any of the acid. NOTE: Spilled acid can be neutralized with a baking soda and water solution. If you somehow get acid into your eyes, flush it out with lots of clean water and get to a doctor as quickly as possible.
  4. Clean the battery posts thoroughly before reinstalling or when installing a new one. A light coating of petroleum jelly or battery terminal spray protectant will help fight corrosion.
  5. Clean the cable clamps using the special tools or a wire brush, both inside and out.
  6. Install the battery, and the hold down clamp. Connect the positive and then the negative cable. Do not hammer them into place. The terminals should be coated with grease to prevent corrosion. CAUTION
Make absolutely sure that the battery is connected properly before you turn on the ignition switch. Reversed polarity can burn out an alternator in a matter of seconds.

In this case when it is always beeping during the computer is on. You need to check the memory stick if it is not faulty. Remove the memory stick and clean it from dust. Clean also the memory slot and reinsert the memory stick. If the problem still occur try to use the other memory slot.
