No sound at all, but all lights are ok.

If there is a resett button on the set have the reset pressed into so that the ipod comesout of the hang.
Since youhave not mentioned that model all that can be done is a reset. try to connect to PC and scan for any virus. If so clean off and try.

Ipod touch won't charge or turn on, bought a wal-mart warranty for it but can't find it

If it won't charg or turn on, then either the battery or ribbon cable connection between battery and main circuit board is faulty or the system needs an update. They should have the serial number in their system if you have a receipt or origional box.

If i remember right, you need to plug it in to your computer and when itunes opens up go to the ipod thing where it shows all the setting and info for the ipod and it should be resettable somewhere in there.

I forgot my password and is locked

OOPS, try this:
connect it to your computer and click reset when your ipod nano comes up on itunes. you should click on the ipod name in the left side of your screen (lwhere the itunes library and store icons are located) and there should be a button that says restore or reset your ipod to origional settings. it will erase all passwords.
Let me know if this helps

Says improper software when I try iTunes that's what it says

I am assuming your ipod is a touch?
when you restored it you took the jailbreak off.

Try restoring it in itunes by using the following method:

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Plug the usb cable into the Ipod and NOT into the computer.
Hold the Home Button down for 5 second (do not release it)
Then Press and hold the Power Button for approx 10 secs (count them out)
Your iPod will reboot.
Release the power button and continue holding the Home button for an additional 27secs.
You may see the screen go blank or not.
Plug the USB end into the computer with itunes open.
Your ipod will mount in recovery mode.

then restore it and you will be able to get in itunes.

Reset the ipod. Using the computer and ipod. If you do not how to do it, follow the steps to it.

1. Connect the USB between the computer and ipod. Be sure to have the latest version of itunes

2. Go to the ipod summary and click restore. Be sure to back up everything.

Note: Because you need to reset the ipod. Any files will be erased. Be sure to backup any files, Like i said above on step 2. After it resets, you can put it back to normal.

3. After a couple of minutes waiting for ipod to reset to factory settings. Put the name on and customize your settings.

4. Now, you can put back files to the ipod so it is ready to use.

Note: It is not necessary to put a code. It is easier to pick a easy code than rather picking a hard code. Or don't pick a code for ipod.
