On the back of your converter box and TV/VCR there are two coxial connections an (OUT) and an (IN):

Step 1. Connect the coxial cable from the antenna to the (IN) connection on the back of the converter box.
Step 2. Connect one end of a spare coxial cable to the (OUT) connection on the back of the convert box.

Mintek DTV-260

The Mintek DTV-260 only has a NTSC (analog) tuner. You will need to connect your RCA antenna to a digital to analog converter box to watch TV over the air. Then connect the output of the converter box to your TV.

The common converter boxes are limited to SD output. You might be able to find an HD converter box online. (With the standard converter box, the available outputs are coaxial and composite video.) The DTV-260 has a composite video port; alternatively set the TV to channel 3 or 4 and use the coaxial (RF) input on the TV.

There may be a low-power station that still broadcasts in analog. However these are rare. You will need to switch from CATV to OTA (Air) to check for one of these stations. Analog Cable has different parameters than scanning for over the air signals.

I hope this helps.

How do I hook up a digital to analog converter box to my 13" phillips TV/VCR COMBO. It does not have an antenna on TV

There should be a cable connector on the back of the TV.

If there are two VHF screws instead you will need to buy a unit from Radio Shack called a 300 ohm to 75 ohm transformer.

I have a Panasonic pvq-M2508 (made in 1998)I have a Magnabox Digital converter box. The Panasonic has an antenna. I cannot get the box to recognize any stations. I go through the wizard setup and...

Can you list exactly how the converter, antenna and TV are connected? The converter should be connected directly to the antenna and the output of the converter to the TV. The TV should be set to either channel 3 or 4 if you are using the 'F' connector on the back of the set.or line if you are using the RCA connectors on the front.

Verify the connections to be as above and update this if you still have a problem. The set should be compatible with the converter. I have one here in the shop that works fine.

I have a AKAI CFTD 2085 model tv. Is it digital or do I need a converter box?

If connected to cable or satellite your tv will work after digital conversion occurs. If using an antenna, look up a local TV station to see if they're already broadcasting in digital. Most are. Enter that DIGITAL channel # using your remote. If you get a picture, you don't need a converter box.

Record to vhs with converter box

I need to leave my TV on channel 3 and set the converter to the channel I want to record. When programming for future recording, it's always from channel 3, not the channel I want the converter displaying.

Do I need a dtv digital converter box for my Symphonic SC313D 13 inch tv?

Pretty much a hoax on those diverter boxes. People ran out and bought them thinking that won't have reception. I have many years in maintenance and several years in nursing homes with different tv's in every room. Not once have I needed a box to pick up channels with or without cable. I myself get 16 channels with rabbit ears and thats enough for me. And I do own a combo as well and it has simple antenna and does me just fine. Depending on your location, the old tv antennas we use to put on our houses...they work amazing! Might be able to snag one on a freecycle or craigslist site. Good luck! :)

Philips CCB130AT02 TV/VCR combo

Is this an Analog TV? Does it have a picture tube and not an LCD or plasma screen? Most likely this is a Analog TV.

If it is an Analog TV (and I would bet that it is), then no, it does not have a digital (QAM) tuner to pick up DTV broadcasts. The fact that it has a VCR also indicates that its an Analog TV.

If you are picking up your TV signals from an outside antenna and not cable, then yes, you will need a converter box to convert the new digital signals to Analog so that you can continue to use your TV set.

If you are using cable to receive your channels, the cable company already provides the conversion for you and your TV will continue to work as before.

The government is giving out coupons to help consumers defray the costs of purchaing a converter box. The following sites are good places to obtain more information.
