Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop Flamingo Pink
My son rolled his Tonka truck into my Dell C 640 notebook, and cracked the screen. It looks fine while its off, but when you turn it on it has a long jagged line down the screen. I really can't afford to purchase a new notebook, so if there is a way to fix it and still keep my lights on?
wildchildsmom I have the same problem, and Dell will charges $500 to replace the lcd screen if you don't have extended care warrenty. Is there any other way to get the lcd replaced without going through dell
Yes, You will need to buy a replacement screen.
Few possible sources, you will have to look for them yourself:
see if one is available on those two sites.
When you have a extra display, its easy to take the old screen off the laptop, and then place the new one in place.
A service manual will help you with the process. What is the model of your dell notebook and I'll see if a service manual is availabe.

you don't have to purchase a new laptop/all you have to do is call your computer manufacture and get the LCD replaced.
you can connect a desktop monitor with your laptop if you have a desktop
as its cracked so only thing we can do is either get the LCD replaced or connect a monitor with it to use your system.
