Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
I recently started losing conncetion to my Netgear router even though the laptop recognizes the router as being there with excellent signal strength. Sometimes repairing the connection will work and other times not. When it does connect the speed varies drastically from the 54Mbps one minute to as low as 1Mbps the next. The only settings that I have recently changed were some printer settings.
In your Notebook dv6000 if you are experiencing Wireless issues, such as the WLAN button turns into amber color, you can do the following.
1)Uninstall and reinstall the Wireless LAN drivers.
For Wireless lan drivers.go to.
2) Update the BIOS.
For BIOS update.
If the above steps do not resolve your issue, HP is arranging free service for your computer, it is called One time service enhancement. For more information log on to HP website and check for the information in the free chat service provided by HP.
