Sorry guys have a working power supply for the Ultra LCD40-500, but need the control box. Currently can only utilize the flat panel as a VGA computer monitor. Does anyone have contact info for the manufacturer?

badcompanyx, Your unit is in need of warranty work or servicing by a qualified electronics technician. Possible bad "intermittant solder connection on "switch-mode-power-supply"/"CCFL inverter supply" and or BAD "faulty" electrolytic filter capacitors that need replacing. 12fixlouie
In display properties or ATI utilities, there may be an option such as 'hide modes this monitor doesn't support' or 'show all modes'. If so, you may be able to set your resolution by using this option.
Also, check in the BIOS for any settings related to display mode support. Otherwise, you will need to contact the Mboard manufacture site for possible BIOS settings probably limiting access to this resolution.
you first look the watt on the power supply and if same watt power supply is available then connect because power supply has overload protection it will not work also look the connecter is matching if not then purchase only original power supply dont chase the duplicate it will consume more money
Hi! If anyone would like a Power adapter for their Ultra LCD30-500 and LCD40-500- please email me Acosta.firstname.lastname@example.org... And I’ll be able to order one…
I too own a Ultra Lcd40-500 HDTV. Bought it from HSN.com back in 2006. My power adapter burned out 2 weeks ago, and to my dismay PWW, or should I say POS has gone bankrupt. I looked everywhere online and here in San Jose,CA thinking I would find a replacement or at least someone that could repair the blown capacitor( 630v vpmm), thermitors(IRFD460A) and varistor( SCK206). After calling every power supply company, distributor, and retailer, had no luck finding a match to this crazy looking 9din pin adapter. Disappointed I gave up on a replacement and took it to various repair shops for repair and was told without schematic would be nearly impossible to replicate the power Output. Finally this one shop was able to replace the burned out components and it seem to work at the store. When I got home with it..no luck..red light would come on…but no light on screen. L Not wanting to give up or trash my LCD. It was time to dig further…I did some research through my employer; a SemiConductor company here in Santa Clara, CA. Needless to say this power adapter has driven me crazy….It has been exhausting... But finally just yesterday I got the break needed…I found a manufacturer in Taiwan that has these power supplies for both the Ultra lcd 30" and 40". I was told they only sell to Component or Electronic Suppliers. I’ve asked my employer to see if I would be able to order one on their behalf using their account. Happy ending! My power supply is on it’s way. I was told it could take up to 4weeks for delivery. But I’m just glad to have a replacement.
Monitors usually do not require specific drivers to work. Nearly always, you just plug them in and they work. Some have fancy features that you may need the drivers for, but they can most likely be downloaded if you feel you nned them, and you have lost the disk.
