Question about Brother XL-3500
I have a Brother SE 350 machine. I used it last week to do some monogram tags and it worked fine. However, I pulled up the same pattern to use it again and it is now stitching with the bobbin thread. I have black in the bobbin and red for the top thread however my letters come out in the black bobbin thread. What is causing this? I have deleted the pattern that was saved and started another, but it is the same thing. It is just not using the top thread it seems. Thanks for any help.
Hi there, this seems to be a common problem with this machine. I have owned mine for a couple months now. The problem seems to be in the threading. The only solution I have found (and others on many forums) is to rethread the machine and the bobbin. I have also re-wound some problematic bobbins as they just maybe did not wind tight enough. Don't delete your patterns, that is not the problem. I have had proffesional patterns turn out a dozen times and then give me problems only to be fine once the machine decided it was threaded properly.
