Question about HP PSC 2350 All-In-One InkJet Printer
HP 2350 all in one. My HPackard has been un plug for 6 months. I want to install new cartridges. The on light will not come on while it is pluged in. I pull the electric plug from the wall and quickly re install the electrical connection. The window will show HP Invent and you can see it downloading, it will stop quickly. Keep in mind the on light is still off. This HP is well kept and covered, it has hardly no use...Can you assist me with some information. thx. Joe
I'm not sure if this is a solution, but it worked for me. ( who knows how long it will last, but its working for now)
Below are the steps I took:
- uninstalled all the HP drives and software
- unplugged the USB cable from the computer and printer
-unplugged power supply from the outlet and printer
-plugged the USB back in to computer and printer
-unplugged the power supply from the power module. Made sure everything looked ok,
-reattached power supply cord to module ( Made sure everything looked ok,)
-plugged power supply in to outlet ( green light was on)
-proceeded to plug power module connector to printer. ( again, making sure proper connection was made.
* this time the screen came with an error and the "on" power light was blinking.:
This was the error message:
-I proceeded to unplug the power and usb from the printer
-downloaded the lastest drivers and software for the PSC 2350
-After the software was loaded and installed ( I checked the box to install with out USB communication at this point)
- plugged the power and then the USB.
-It came to life at that point. (the computer recognized the "new" product)Going through what I presume were several realignments or internal configurations.
I tested a page, and ran the HP Dinostic's page. Everything checked out, and its running fine for now.
I hope this may have given you some ideas as to fixing your printer.

Tips for a great answer:
Re-initialize the HP all-in-one
Force the HP all-in-one to reinitialize by following the steps below:
1. Turn the unit off by pressing the ON button.
2. Disconnect the power cord.
3. Wait five seconds, then reconnect the power cord.
4. but before plugging the unit back in, press and hold the # and 6 keys on the HP all-in-one numeric keypad. Continue to hold these keys down for a few seconds after plugging the unit back in to reset it. Once the all-in-one re-establishes communication with the computer, reset the language and country.
