Synchronize to continue your music subscription

When we download the songs to the player it shows up in the player but the message synchronize to continue your music subscription pops up and will not play the song. How can we fix this? I keep trying to play the music that i put on my mp3 player but the message "synchronize to continue your music subcription" how can i delete these songs off the mp3 player. Hi Have the same problem working with the library system files. I am using the provided Overdrive Media Console and it transfers teh files from teh desktop to the mp3 player as expected. I get teh error when I play the files I have also tried to load the Rockbox OS as well and the files do not even appear there.

Thanks for this information but I am not usign Rhapsody. Just the library's Overdrive system. There is no sync function. I download the WMA files to the computer with overdrive media console and then use the same software to transfer the books / songs to the sansa in MSC mode. That is all there is to it. The wma files work on the computer but give the sync message when played on the sansa. During the installation process the Overdrive media console software did automatically makd changes to Windows Media Player - something about DLM. I even looked there for a sync but I do not use Windows Media Player.

FIXED!!!! - I am now playing DRM licensed audio books from the library on my SansaE250, I transferred the files while in MTP mode after the following:

I found the solution on anytingbutipods. back on 12-21-2006 Enigmatic Mark said

-If the player is set to Auto Detect, but Windows sees it as a MSC device, here’s what to do: open Device Manager, find the USB Mass Storage Device

for the player, right-click on it and choose Update Driver. After that, check if it shows up as an MTP device.

That worked - it called the mass storage device a raid controller and made me reboot, it still did not work but the Sansa was then called a MTP device, I updated the driver and had it search, it took some time but it works!! The system now sees the sansae250 as a device.

The "synchronize files to continue" is annoying, and you are likely to get it again. If the music files on your player came from Rhapsody, the short-term solution is to re-synch the files through Rhapsody itself. If your subscription to Rhapsody, Overdrive, etc. ever expires, you will also get this message. The only long-term way around this problem is to only load songs that are in mp3 format (Rhapsody has an Mp3-Only subscription, which is different from its regular subscription; Limewire is another choice - but it is prone to have viruses, and some ISPs will cut off your broadband if you use the service). If you wanted to erase all songs and start over from scratch, you could update the firmware on the player - it will have the side effect of erasing everything on the player.

Good luck!

I want to download certain songs to my new Ipod shuffle. I do not want to download everthing Is there a way to choose which songs you want to put on your ipod?

The only songs you can download have to come from the iTunes store. Set up an account with a credit card, and you can order single songs, albums or videos, plus some free content. Some albums are sold as whole albums, but that is not the norm.

If you have music on your computer, you can download iTunes to it, and try and drag tracks by having the iTunes window open to your iPod, and the other pane open to your music. Highlight and Right Click Drag - Copy here.

The legit way is to pay Apple $38 to allow you to put non iTunes music on their device.

How do I delete music off of a coby mp829 player

I don't have this particular device. Although some players will let you delete files from the device alone, some won't. But an mp3 player should show up on your desktop computer as an external memory storage device when connected via USB. You can open it and delete music files by dragging to trash, or by right-clicking and selecting Delete. (Windows, but probably similar on Mac).

may want to check the library in iTunes to make sure the files are there on your hard drive and on your iPod if the problem persists clear your library and make iTunes find your music in your hard drive again and try placing the music onto the device once more

How to reset my combination lock number on ipod A1236

Hi William
If you have forgotten the code or put the wrong code in your ipod, you can unlock the Ipod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one Ipod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock Ipod using either (the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs). . . you can restore your ipod to factory settings using ipod Updater.
Please note that this will erase all data on your ipod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your ipod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your Ipod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted.
Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your ipod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your ipod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the Ipod, which will erase all music and data.
Please take time to rate me
