Have you setup cam video and audio
After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on Action. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting and follow the instructions. Please let me know if this solved

To test if it works online go to this free webcam test site. Allow access to the webcam when prompted, and you should be able to see yourself. If not click the drop down box under the Live Camera window to manually select your webcam. Once you prove your webcam works over the Internet go to the service you normally use online (Skype, MSN, Yahoo, etc.). I fit doesn't automatically view try going under the Settings options to see if you need to manually select it.
You can use it for msn. it is optimised for msn messenger. Click Here on the link and select your product download the software and install. then restart your computer and make sure cam is connected.
it should work!!
Please rate my response!!!
Test your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.
Having proved your cam is working ,you can configure it to WLM (MSN)
CONFIGURE SOFTWARE to MSN Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start - if you have been using it elsewhere the MSN software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly. The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted. Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software. If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.
Open MSN Click 'Open Menu' From 'Tools; navigate to, and click, 'Audio and Video setup' Set your speakers Click 'Test' - if OK, move on. Set your mic as default Use the slider to set volume and test. Click 'Next' This takes you to the video setup Your webcam should be broadcasting - if not - make sure the webcam is set as default - restart MSN Use 'Webcam Settings'to fine tune the picture. Click 'Finish'
you have to adjust the settings from the conversation window...on the right side ya have some settings that allow ya to either see or not the other ..and also control the size of the image ...there is the issue that ya do not see the your image .... in the other matter in deed the msn do not have like the yahoo a separate video and sound call...either video call wich include both ...either just sound ...its just the way it works...try yahoo or ....other IM for other features... by the way the settings I was talking about are available only during the call ( video ) ...and are very simmilar with the setings for the avatars...
