Question about Honda 6370C - Parallel Power Kit For EU3000i

Generac rv altenator wiring

I have an older Generac 4000 watt altenator. Starts and runs great. Puts good 110 voltage. In the "customer connection" box are three wires. Two are labeled T-2 and the other is labeled T-1. For 110 operation the T-2 wires are twisted together and along with the single T-1 wire are conected to the fuse box. With wire would be considered the "hot' wire and which is the "nuetral"? It alse has a ground wire. Thanks...Arnie

    Low voltage out 79.2 volts

Randy, connect up your volt meter and try manually reving up the engine. Even a few hundred RPM can make a big difference in the generator output.

If that resolves the problem, then you need to adjust the high speed settings on the motor.

The altenator is turned on by a key on wire at the connection to the back of the altenator. It has a fuse in the fuse box and it's strange but the ciger lighter uses the same fuse.843192279.jpgOne wire in this plug is hot all the time and the other comes on with the key. jump powerto the plug with the engine running and the altenator will take off charging the other wire is the voltage sense wire and is hot all the time the other comes from the dash light or gauge and as the altenator strts charging it puts power on the wire and the light goes out as it's powered from both sides. The light should be on with the key on but the engine not running.

    Mitsubishi mgb 4000 wiring diagram

Here is a manual for a newer mge model. I don't think your going to find a manual on the older mgb around and they tend to be very similar from one model to another so it should help. Though you should be able to get parts.

    http://www.mitsubishi-generators.com/pdf/540811+NM%20Products+MGE1801-2901-4000-4800-5800-6700.pdf

As for the gfci brand, I have not had any problems with any of the brands out there. So the cheapest is the best. The 30amp socket could be 110 or 220vac. If there is a selector switch on your machine. If not, there should be a NEMA number on the face of the socket (ie 15-5R). The R stands for receptical while a P stands for plug.

Here is a plug configuratio diagram that will help identify your plug and the voltage it puts out. These are standard so you can be sure that if it the same plug it will put out the same power. Be carefull to ensure which side is larger or has a tab is correct.

    http://www.frentzandsons.com/Hardware%20References/plugandreceptacleconfiguratio.htm

While replacing the plug just swap wire for wire in the same place as your new plug. Gold connector to gold and silver to silver.

The inside of a small generator is very similar and if this don't help I can walk you through any connections you have questions on. Pictures would help if it comes to this.
