The battery burns out if you charge it too long. The guy that fixes mine says they should not charge for more than 4 hours max

You probably need a new battery. It is not uncommon for them to just be dead one day .  Check the razr website for replacement parts.  Thanks!

How long do i charge ever start 16b battery after filling with acid

Hi Anonymous, the "ABSOLUTE" best way is let the battery acid soak into the plates for 1 hour then connect a 1 or 2 amp trickle charger and let it charge for 24 hours for maximum battery life. Read my lips "DO NOT" use a higher rate charger for less hours it will shorten your overall battery life, trust me I was a Harley technician for over 40 years. How does the charging system on a 1969 Honda 325 cc motorcycle work to keep engine running?

I think you mean a 69 CB350. It sounds like you have a bad battery since the battery charger won't charge it.

On this bike there is an alternator and rectifier that combine to charge the battery whenever the engine runs. If the battery won't hold a charge, the charging system wont work.

Replace the battery.

The Battery does not seem to charge so I want to remove it and see if it will charge if connected to an external charger. How do I remove the said batteries?

Remove the batteries .. Every Chair is different .. but if the batteries aren't charging it's probably that they were left uncharged for a time and they dropped down enough that the charger dosn't recognize them .. If they drop down below around 6 volts the charger won't charge them ... I have taken batteries out and charged them individualy with a car charger .. but they never come back .. at best half life.

My xt125r battery wont hold a charge for more than a couple of days.do you think its the rectifier?please help

Remove the battery from the bike ( or at least remove the positive cable ). Charge the battery but make sure water covers the top of the plates in each cell. When charged, disconnect the charger and let the battery sit for two or three days with the red positive wire still disconnected. Now re-connect the red wire and see if the battery is discharged when 2 or 3 days have passed. If so, get a new battery. The batteries only last 1.5 to 2 years. How old is your battery? If the battery DOES have full power after the 2 or 3 days mentioned, start the bike and check the voltage across the battery terminals while running the engine at about 2000 rpm. The voltage should read around 14 volts. If not, there is a problem with the stator, regulator or rectifier. If your voltmeter does show 14 volts or so, and the battery still drains in 2 or 3 days, You will have to find what is draining it. Abraded wire grounding on the frame? Bad switch? Please rate my answer. Thanks.

When Charging a battery with charger do you set it on the 12 Volt 2amp or or 12volt,6amp My Charger is SE-82-6, H943

For charging a car battery that is run down, use the 6 amp setting. The 2 amp setting is for smaller batteries (like a motorcycle or lawn mower battery) or if you are using it to maintain a charge on a battery that is used infrequently (like a boat battery).
