Question about Hitachi 55HDT52 Plasma Television
Hello! I have a Hitachi 55HDT52 plasma television and it up and stopped working on me today. The television is roughly 2 1/2 to 3 years old. I have had no problems with it until today. There were no advance warning signs at all leading up to this. I just watched a blu-ray on it last night and the picture and performance was flawless. This afternoon the tv was on and without warning it tuned itself off. Even the standby light is not responding. It basically is acting like it is not plugged in at all. I tried swapping out the power cable and tried another outlet on the off chance that might fix it. Everything else plugged into the surge protector appears to be working fine. I have come to the conclusion that I may be forced to track down an authorized Hitachi repair center and pay what I imagine will be a pricy repair bill. I was hoping that maybe someone has heard of this issue before and might have a suggestion. Thanks. Hi Bradley_64 I have the very same problem the only difference is I didn't use the blu-ray. I watched tv last night into the early morning, I fell asleep, the tv went off and this morning I can't turn the power on except thru the reset button thered light wil come on,then green blinking light then off again...PLEASE,PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME...I don't have very much money, just went thru a very bad divorce. thanks in advance heavenlyscents58

First, try the unplug it, wait a few minutes, plug it in trick, several
times. If that doesn't work try pressing the power button and slap the
back left side of the set several times. Sometimes, this will shock the
ballast and/or lamp into working.
Try checking the wires as well if its pinch or not and try to take out all cables from other devices from the back

Take a moment to carefully observe the Buffer "Snot" Chips
(Left Side black chips mounted on the SDR Upper and Lower PWBs).
Look very closely for burns and/or small holes in these chips.
If any defect is seen, the PWB is defective.
Replace this PWB and the Y-SUS
