  • Like the 360, the PS3 also has problems.  This problem is known as the SoD (spin of death). In this the lens of your PS3 stops working. Sony is the best one that can help for this kind of error. Best to stick with them, or if your retailer has an exchange policy, ask for a new PS3. But my local dealer fixes this up for 125$.
  • IMPORTANT - DO NOT OPEN YOUR CONSOLE YOURSELF AS THE WARRANTY THAT SONY PROVIDES WILL THUS BE VOID!!!

I have dvd combo SONY CD-RW CRX300E but my problem is my drive can read cd but cannot read dvd please me to resolve this problem

Try the DVD-disk in some other computer, to see if the disk is the problem in _more_ than one computer.

Try some other DVD-disk in your computer, to see if your Sony drive can read _any_ DVD disks, i.e., if _NO_ disks can be read, then it's time to replace the drive.

CD ROM

The drive has NOT been able to read the directory of the disk you put in.

Possible causes:

Disk may be a DVD which your drive may not be able to read.
Disk may be a DL DVD (double layer) whcih your drive may not be able to read.
The disk might be a BluRay which your drive may not be able to read.
Your drive may be defective or have a dirty read head.

Program says dvd+r incompatible with toshiba dvd player

Some DVD players will read 'DVD-R' ("minus-R") disks.
Some DVD players will read 'DVD+R' ("minus+R") disks.
Some DVD players will read "both" types of disks.

So, if you're burning onto a DVD+R disk, you won't be able to "play" the disk on your Toshiba DVD-player.

Instead, buy "blank" DVD-R disks, and write on them.

Dvd player reads'' disk not read or no disk''

You have a damaged read laser. You can either send your unit in for service, if it is under warranty or replace it.

Dispaly cannot read disk

DONT FORGET TO RATE SOLUTION

1. CLEAN THE LASER. ALWAYS DO THIS FIRST. MOST TIMES THIS IS ALL YOU NEED TO GET YOUR SYSTEM BACK RUNNING A 100% AGAIN

2. IF THE LASER CLEANING DON'T WORK ON YOUR PS2 SYSTEM PERFORMANCE THEN TRY ADJUSTING THE LASER VOTAGE.

3. IF THE LASER VOTAGE DON'T WORK YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE LASER
