Question about HP Pavilion zd8000 Notebook
My HP Pavilion zd8000 keyboard is skipping characters. Thought it was dust from work being done in the house. Found out it happens at the same time that an internal short buzzing or static sound is heard which occurs every few seconds. Driving me nuts$%^&*_+:"<>? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The most common reason that your cursor skips around is that you are touching the touch pad when typing. Some are more sensitive than others. On my Toshiba I had that problem, but it has a Fn key that allows me to turn off the touchpad. Problem went away when I went to a mouse instead.
Had a client with a Dell with the same problem. I had to actually physically disconnect the touchpad and her problem went away.
Now as for the first problem, (the HP), I'd say you have a stuck key on the keyboard. It would make that noise.
